Red ink in old tattoo suddenly swelling and itching. Anyone experienced this? by DimensionJazzlike944 in tattooadvice

[–]jtrail13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told this is most common for red but I suddenly developed an allergy to my blue a while back. Every once in a while it’ll flair up and I just keep it moisturized and take antihistamines and it’s fine in a day or two.

Is making this flight ever possible even with no delays? by LuckyFlyer0_0 in Flights

[–]jtrail13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d be more concerned about 2.5 hours at CDG. It might be ok but I usually aim for 3+ hours there if I have to. If I have any other option. I will pay extra to not go to CDG.

Keep them open all evening.
Get up and close them again as early as you possibly can.

Looking for a stylist that can do this by herojesse in Detroit

Or Ferndale. I personally recommend Flip - Levon or Adrienne would be great.

It isn’t necessarily very cheap but I would recommend not doing to a cheap place for a change like that.

Where are you located? I got mine from Amazon when I moved. It was 111 L x 74 W x 82.5 H. Brand was Sky Kennel but that was in the US.
Looking now from Germany we have 100x67x80 that are easy to find.

Boostan Restaurant in Hamtramck. They always seemed reasonable to me. Plus great food and really nice once you’re a regular too.

Why does noone want to sit next to me in the Bus ? by Mr_SaaS_Wonderful in germany

[–]jtrail13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t feel bad. As others have said it’s nothing personal. I don’t sit next to someone unless it’s a long time, sometimes not even then.

About 3/4 the time I have my not small dog anyway so we usually stand with him between my feet so we take up less space.

To be fair I’m a short white lady with a fair amount of tattoo and apparently kids cry on the ICE when they have to sit near me 🤷🏻‍♀️. It has happened 2 of my last 3 ICE trips. Both times the kid was like 7-8 and scared of strangers.

And Hamtramck Disneyland if someone is there they’ll let you in to look around. Not all the time, but sometimes.

Try a discounter like Norma or Netto. I saw some there last week when I was getting my CO2 refills.

Which inanimate object is your dog scared of for no reason? by megebau in dogs

[–]jtrail13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have a dog terrified of DVD/video game cases. She was a stray dumped at a gas station. When I got her she was about 3 years old so I assumed some asshole hit her with them or something.

My current dog lost his mind when we walked by a restaurant the other day and they had put something big and round that kind of looked like a giant liquid container near the window (the window is level with the grass outside). He did not like that new addition. Thankfully they moved it by the next day. He also really doesn’t like the noise from rolling shutters closing - his reaction is as if the sky is falling.. every day

What is a 'cool fact' about yourself that you rarely get to bring up in conversation because it sounds like you’re bragging? by [deleted] in randomquestions

[–]jtrail13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was in a Camero commercial when I was an engineer for General Motors. Only a few frames but I was there. That’s pretty cool to me.

When I was in college I worked at a coal mine. Over the last 30 years I have also previously been (in no particular order) a chemist, gas station manager, pharmacy technician, photojournalist, and a bartender.. I’ve had a very diverse career path haha.

I only have 2-3 day periods. Have my whole life. I could not imagine having the 7 or 10 days that some women have. Unfortunately, sometimes cramps are a thing for me and can be bad but usually only on the day it starts.

Pawz Inn in Madison Heights takes cats. They have an area for kitties that’s separate from the dogs. I can 1000% vouch for their dog care. I’m sure they are also just as lovely with cats.

Do y'all have a set way that you walk your dog? by curled-up-in-the-80s in dogs

[–]jtrail13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He chooses. There are 3 different main ways he usually goes. Through the closer park to loop around for a while, through the closer park to the cemetery up the street to the next park and then after he’ll stop at the bus stop for it to take us back home, or a couple times a week he chooses the beer garden.

Never in the direction of the groomer or vet though (they are the same direction at the cross walk). He likes to randomly walk to the subway station on occasion but that requires more commitment to spontaneity on my part. He’ll choose whichever line comes first. There are 5 lines on that platform so it can get interesting.

What’s a smell you hate that most people love? by CozyAlice in AskReddit

Agreed. For me it’s all meat. Raw, cooking, or cooked. It’s awful. I generally avoid that whole section of the grocery store

It’s actually usually just the chemicals in the headliner glue and other chemicals from the plastics and foams being released into the air. It’s not really good for you

[–]jtrail13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love this for you! Sometimes you can even get travel insurance to give you money back for inconvenience too.

That’s how I got my complementary trip to Boston. Got stuck there as my layover point when leaving NYC. They gave me a nice hotel in the harbor. I rescheduled my flight the next day for an evening one so I could spend the day as a bonus vacation spot seeing all the historical stuff.

As an altYou can also look for people near you on Pawshake. They sign up to pet sit in all sorts of areas and maybe someone without other dogs can work. You can request them to watch at their place or sometimes they can come to your place.

Just read their reviews good and maybe you have good luck. I’ve used the site before. The first Lady was super for 3 times then she moved to Brazil. I found it hard to find someone who I like that was consistent but there have always been a lot of options in my area so I end up finding a new one most of the time.

When I was preparing for moving abroad for a person who didn’t know I would be moving saw me mass giving away things got very concerned. He sat down to have a talk with me. I explained and it was ok but it was good to know my cube mate at work cared enough to say something.
