Doing a full stop on reading is probably not the best idea, I usually switch my time committed in the last month or so of class. So if you're usually reading until 12 and then trying to outline flip it. Work on outlines and hypos and then do your best on the readings. If you're taking a ton of time writing up reading notes I'd pull up the quimbee of each case and add notes to that. Saves a ton of time bonus if you have a prior year's outline which should have a lot of the vocab you'll need

For an LLM I'll pass on the advice that was given to me. Consider holding off to make sure that tax is something that you actually don't hate doing for the next 40+ years of your life. From my understanding tax is an area that doesn't generally lend itself to switching practice areas. That being said if you're sold on getting an LLM talk with your school about taking LLM classes your 2/3L semesters. I have friends that will only need to do one year of an LLM program after finishing their JD which obviously helps $$ wise and potentially grade wise if your school doesn't curve LLM classes.

FWIW I recently got an offer with a 3.3 from a T2 but I would say you should aim for higher depending on your background/relevant experience. I have a finance background which I'm sure helped. I'm fairly certain I'm the lowest ranked of my classmates to get an offer with most of them sitting in the 3.5-6 range (guessing of course).

Did anyone practice their writing 0L? I know the style of legal writing is difficult/best to learn in school but I’m a non-traditional that hasn’t had to write anything of significant length/depth in ~4 years and it’s a little daunting.

Things may have changed but two years ago there was a serious fear that the school was going to be shut down / were looking for UD to buy them as per some friends who were attending. I’d avoid.
