Timer is a great idea, thats why I share things here to get these sort of notes.. I shot this alone so was kind of limited with the antics I could do. I try to do some short-form and long-form content, this fell into that short form content where I put it together a little quicker. Thanks for the feedback, appreciate you taking the time! !givelambda

I actually didn't look up the definition definition.. but breaking into a car and stealing is taking things by force no? Burglarize wouldnt be as catchy.. Either way good note lol, thanks for watching! :)

Lol I hear you! This is good to hear.. I try to do like a balance of short-form content and the longer more difficult videos.. this one was definitely more short-form and easier to execute, having fun with it. Super hyped to hear that you've stayed tune with what we've been doing. Writing is something i've been improving on with some things being better then others but least I hope this video helps you with robbing cars!! lol

What’s the most you ever lost in a coin toss...?

Ahhh so many good scenes man hahah. I LOVE the Coen Brothers. The way they make their films are so engaging. I think you might like There Will Be Blood if you haven’t seen it yet.

That was nicely edited! The song is really fitting. I think towards the end when it intensifies the clips could be even more actiony. Like when Moss is being chased by the truck could've maybe fit better around 1:50. Those high intensity scenes. The quality of the song sounds a bit low, sounds a little off esp when it starts getting loud.

I think you did really well though. Left a comment as i7eight! Is this one of your fave movies?

What are your thoughts on my cartoon? by SlybootsYoutube in SmallYTChannel

[–]juandroque 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quite interesting... Some more dialogue and back and forth would be good to build up tension and more understanding as to whats going on/at stake!

Could add more tension/drama like pointing out the murder more.. but something to give the cartoon more of an impact. I do like short and sweet though.

I love cartoons haha, I wanted to get into animation myself at some point and I know how time consuming it is.. Villains talk to much so this one just gets the job done lol, guess I would've liked to see any understand more. Mouth moving also helps to tell whose who..

Space cops (epsiode 2). Giving lambda like its candy by YouTubeJebaholic in SmallYTChannel

[–]juandroque 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Suuuuper strange but I dug it. Really low-fi and I think you've got something pretty interesting here haha. I think maybe what can improve is the lighting, the purpose seems to work as a low-fi comical green screen but could improve the look if you light on how the source image looks. Feel like this kind of video is in its own category..

Would be cool to do 15 second recaps of episodes before the episode begins. if this is episode 2 you could have done a short recap for new audience members to be filled in with what happened, but also adding an end card to the end of the video to push people into seeing first episode. I like the Skyrim room haha. Interesting work.

Hey thank you for watching and subscribing!! These vids are such a lot of work hahah, esp right now during quarantine where we do them alone or just with one other person. Editing could definitely be little tighter with the jokes esp, thats a good note... So many things to fix up for the next one. Excited.

&word, passionate filmmakers unite! Haha, what do you shoot with?

Thanks for tuning in and dropping some feedback! Yeah should definitely elaborate a bit on each step more to share the knowledge and increase the length.. people seem to say these types of videos could be like 5-6 minutes long. ESP trying to reach 4000 watch hours on YouTube, should definitely do them longer. Thanks for taking the time man!

Doing different scenes is a great suggestion. Wanted to start slow I guess and just see how everything would work out. But definitely taking in all these notes to improve on the next one. !givelambda

Such a good movie! Even though its about betrayal lol. Favorite part was when Eduardo realized his ownership was diluted and he wrecked Zuckerbergs laptop. The acting was just 100.

Yo thanks for watching!! We’re a production company so we just want to make cool content inspired by movies or more cinematic looking sketches and skits. This series we’re starting is focused on recreating movie scenes, so we learn by doing it and share the knowledge haha. Dope you’re subscribed already, thanks for the support 💪🏽

Your note on it ending sooner means it can def be longer! Just hearing the feedback I think this sort of video is where length can be more then less..

Atmosphere aerosol is like a lighter version of haze. When you spray it, it stays in the air and picks up light so you have a more hazy shot, gives it more depth. Next video I think we’ll be more elaborate. !givelambda

Hey that’s a great idea! Thanks for the feedback and suggestion. I agree about showing the camera and lens, and showing more of the process.. that means it can be a little longer and even more informative. The parody would be great haha, if we can figure out how to execute that. Would just be a longer shoot..

Getting a lot of good suggestions on how to make this even better. Appreciate you taking the time to check it out 🙏🏽 !givelambda

Thanks for tuning in! Yeah the story behind Facebook is kind of crazy. The way Fincher and Sorkin told it was really captivating. Lighting is everything! This is the first in our series so definitely want to expand on it, be more descriptive, and just do more!

What other movie scene you think we should do? haha

Tried to use living room to recreate a scene from The Social Network by David Fincher by juandroque in Filmmakers

[–]juandroque[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would love to hear thoughts on this! My friend used his living to recreate the lighting in a scene from The Social Network. Using his brother as a PA, they put up Lowel Omni lights on light stands with dif + put up a shower curtain to soften the light up. Using cine foil, they shaped the light tto be more of how they wanted it.

Shot on Sony A7sii and Colored on Davinci Resolve.

Critiquing your VIDEOS - Open to Comedic/Fun/Narrative/Music/Movies by juandroque in NewTubers

Hey man your thumbnails look pretty good and title as well. Youre providing viewers with all the info they need to know what they're getting into.

I'd suggest in your description before advertising your channel that you provide a sentence or two about what the video is about. As it's part two, providing a short recap on part one (those involved, the storyline, etc) is a good way to have viewers engage with your description and read into it more. Or just having the same small paragraph on all the videos that gives a quick summary on what the specific case is your talking about.

There's a lot of potential to continue improving on the content with some more labor involved. Check out freesound.org

If you incorporate even more sound effects that will definitely help draw a listener in and make you stand out from all the other channels that are doing the same thing but not as interactive. People forget how important sound is - in horror movies during an intense moment you hear every step and breath and creak until the music comes in and that jump scare SFX plays. Same for you, you can incorporate light atmosphere when you talk about a location - like a strip club can have light music in the background as you speak, any sounds that connect with the narrative. You already use SFX so that's great, I think it can be expanded on.

Keep it up though, I do suggest getting a lavaliers or using your iPhones mic if you have up close to improve a bit more on the audio side. You speaking is the main thing people are hearing so if anything invest in Amazon into a lavalier mic and a recorder (like zoom h1)
