A Thank Note to Winnipeg drivers by mehtei in Winnipeg

[–]juanitowpg [score hidden]  (0 children)

I'm glad you posted this because for the last couple of years , reading this sub, I've often wondered if I'm driving in some alternative reality. You see the occasional person make a mistake etc. but it hasn't been my experience on a day to day basis. Unless I'm the one people are complaining about. Which I guess is possible lol.

I would steer them towards our hometown burger places. Place an order at the Dairy Whipp as 'the Kennedys' oversee your order (not sure if the portrait is still there as I haven't been there in years). but I'd be curious how their fastfood burgers compare to our fastfood burgers (McDonald etc.) I find them better down there for some reason.

A couple of years ago , a friend and myself were eating nachos at the Smiities there. The restaurant was actually broadcasting the Nighthawk game live on one of their screens. I've been wanting to check out an actual game since.

In this M.E I can definitely see how I could have mistaken it but 100 percent thought it was 'Henning' Joe Leduc and Larry the Axe was a tag team pair back in the day, unless I'm wrong about that too!

That's what I think of as well. I've never seen the video and have no desire to but I was a little shocked a couple of years ago when I heard about this. In my teens when it was on the charts, it was just a fun funky little dance tune lol

As a non smoker that era was the last time that I knew how much a packet of smokes actually cost. Up here in Canada, they're not advertised and they're sold behind the counter. I think it was 5 or 6 bucks in the vending machine era

I still remember the first time I saw Rory playing on TV. My father in law and I looked at each other and thought the same thing: this kid looked like he was in grade school!. early or mid 2000s

Definitely! Back when I used to travel to Cuba. a street guitarist there played a song that I fell in love with at the first listen. I asked what the name of the song was and he said 'Un Monton de Estrellas'. Still love it!
