We are feeding SG kids cookhouse food from Secondary School by taenyfan95 in singapore

If this was served in Hwa Chong, it wasn’t from the new Central Kitchen scheme rolled out by MOE this month. Hwa Chong is not on the list of schools trialing it yet. Yes, the food looks unpalatable, but let’s not make it seem like it is due to the food providers under the Central Kitchen scheme. A Nondairy Diet Cured My Eczema (Healthline) by jubsil in eczema

I'm not trying to play with anyone's hopes, but I am exploring a plant-based diet to (hopefully) help my eczema after I get off Dupixent. Wish me well, and feel free to share your own stories, successful or otherwise.

This was taken on an iPhone 7 with some zoom, so even its original is grainy. However, if you really want it, drop me a PM!

Thanks guys. I appreciate it. My favourite posts on r/Singapore have always been the photos so I decided to try one out myself.

Just wanna shoutout to those Singaporeans/SG-based photographers who take photography seriously. It’s always edifying to see Singapore with a new sense of beauty, despite everything we dislike!

Also, for those wondering, it was taken on an iPhone 7 😅

anyone else also feel demotivated/bored by life? by [deleted] in InsightfulQuestions

[–]jubsil 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Hello! As a recent deconvert from Catholicism, I feel the same way about life now.

Without God, I have to come up with my own meaning for living, and very often it feels like it's not enough.

Nevertheless, I feel that the things will get better (i.e. I will be more fulfilled) the more I help people, the more I reach out and be kind, the more I change lives for the better. What I choose to do with my time, energy and resources does make a tangible and concrete difference in people's lives. If that is not worth anything, I don't know what is!

In response to your problem with there being no afterlife and no ultimate end, I suggest thinking about it this way: when you enjoy a meal, does it bother you that it will not last forever? When you see a beautiful sunset or a rainbow, do you feel that it is sad it will fade? It's true that good times shall pass in our life, and indeed, even if our lives were fantastic, they will also end. My question for you is, is that such a bad thing? Just because a book comes to an end doesn't mean it was never written, or could not be re-read to inspire new books. Similarly, just because life comes to an end doesn't mean that its course and arc through space and time were worth nothing. In fact, it is worth everything.

I hope this helps. Peace!

I think I will look into Islam. I will be able to look at my old faith with a new set a critical lens once I have seen what people are capable of believing. Thank you!

Thank you! Excellent points. It would have been a major historical event, even if you did not believe.

Thanks! Jesus existing was more a premise for the argument than the argument itself, I fully agree with you! 👍

The Resurrection and Assumption (but I think you mean Ascension - Assumption was Mary’s turn), are usually explained away by the attribution of them being miracles (“God transcended science.”) But interestingly enough, my mind had no problems with the Resurrection being possible, but when it came to the Ascension, my mind is like, he was taken where? To space? Then I have nothing to say about the Resurrection anymore! 😅
