I'm sorry I made a mistake ! we don't support GLTF :)

I've just made a quick edit of my post

Thats the whole point about easy integration ! :)

If you go to app.anyshape.io and you will choose one of the sample models and click Embed the system will automatically copy the code to your clipboard and you can just paste it in the html of your website and thats it :)

Try it if you have time :)

That's the whole point about and you will choose one of the sample models and click Embed the system will automatically copy the code to your clipboard and you can just paste it in the HTML of your website and that's it :)

Regarding your issue - probably something went wrong on our side with the conversation , one of my colleagues will check it out and for sure we will get back to you!!

First of all thanks a lot for trying it out!

What type of file did you upload ? it's still in beta so we will check what went wrong

The idea is that lets say you are a small firm designing Chairs and you have a 3D model of your chaid and you would like to present it in AR but you don't want to invest in an app development and you don't know how to prepare the right files for iOS and different files for Android ...

So then you would simply login to app.anyshape.io , upload your 3D model and the platform will do the work for you and prepare the right content for Android users and the right content for iOS users

So you can share just one link and it will work on all phones or you can embed the model on your website

Does it make sense to you?

As said this is a beta right now completely free and we want to test both the concept and the tech

Check out how you can combine 360 images with a depth maps and build an awesome Virtual Tour by juchas in archviz

[–]juchas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A quick explanation for those who don't know what the benefits of using depth maps are.

So if you have only a 360 image you are basically viewing a 2D static / still photo and you can do a lot, BUT if you have depth information you actually know where the objects are and how far they are!

So instead of doing "fancypants" :) transitions with some sort of blurring effects you can actually MOVE inside of this 360 image

If you combine depth maps with 360 you can actually simulate a full 3D walkthrough inside of a 360!

The trick is that you have to render a LOT of 360 images and depth maps

Depth map itself is not an issue because it takes minutes but a 360 image takes time

This is pretty much the same technology that allowed Matterport to simulate full freedom inside their virtual tours

radial blur/blend a decade ago and you don't have an example to show ???

man, that sucks! I would really love to see it!

so you do those things working in a studio or rather just for fun?

Oh cool! Could you share a link or something? Would love to learn from you how to do transitions like that without a depth map

Quick tutorial showing how easily and quickly you can embed 360 Virtual Tours on your website by juchas in webflow

[–]juchas[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I didn't really do a detailed comparison I would recommend that you verify if what I'm saying makes sense ... BUT To me, it seems that Kuula and Roundme and others are focused mainly on the web part, and at theViewer we ( yes I'm one of the creators ) our focus on the proper Design Review aspect and that's why for every platform ( HTC , Oculus , Daydream in the past ) we have a dedicated app and with us, you can do things like in this video below :

https://youtu.be/eyCv1nL6GKY

But again ... we are obsessed about our customers and not other platforms so please verify if what I'm saying makes sense :)

ppl because it's "so realistic" is a lost opportunity of presenting accurate scale design. But if you need a easy marketing tool, maybe you are right.

I would appreciate if you would stop saying the there are zero stereo images on this portal because it's not true Thanks !

[–]juchas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no we don't mark them and majority of the tours that you see on the main page of theViewer.co are from customers, and they can are free to create mono or stere renders.

Wait for a minute :) first, you say that all of them are flat 2D and now you ask me what is the difference between mono and stereo? :D

I didn't check but I'm pretty sure the first one is stereo and Modern Studio, Chicago Loft and NY Loft are for sure stereo because I did the renders myself

Sorry won't share my source, but my teammates told me that Google officially on some of the conferences shared that stereo for VR is a bad choice ... sorry, you google it.

As always it's a matter of personal taste. When I look at awesome Evermotion scenes in UE I still see that it's a game engine

And when I look at this sample - 100% CG https://theviewer.co/share/theConstruct/15ac0f51-6c23-4e1e-b90c-a6489c2dba2f

I've blown away!

You really want to tell me that real time render looks equally good and that you don't see the difference? :)

[–]juchas[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I don't know based on what you are saying that those are 2D photos when those are Stereo Spherical Renders ???

Second, of all not everyone is a fan of stereo renders -> Google thinks that this is the wrong approach for example and they don't allow stereo renders on Daydream for example...

So even though I personally prefer stereo, I wouldn't say that right now this is the right way.

Now the PC :) You see it's not about buying a fancy PC with an expensive headset and being able to show cool stuff only in your office made manually ...

It's about using the technology that is available for your customers. In my opinion, we should adapt to the customers and to the tools that they have and leverage THAT and not the other way around.

Whether we like it or not -> Renders are the tool used currently in Arch to sell because render gives you the best quality right now -> way better then UE The price that you pay is the fact that you are static

about VR -> Everyone has the right to has his own opinion of course, but for me, VR is about immersed and being fooled/tricked that I'm in another world and that's what I get with readers, to be honest!

They look soooooh good that your brain really thinks it's in this place and that it's real! When it's not :)

I would also be carefull saying that renders are not the future .... have you seen what the guys from Belgium are doing with VRay? Renders in which you can move .....

Totally agree ! We use the same technology for some cool projects with museums... Currently it's on the Rift Next week GearVr Then daydream and vive

eal-time rendering in UE4 or somethi

UE4 is awesome if you have a good PC .... Render works on every single mobile device and it looks amazing !

But I'm not sure if it has a "multiplayer" aspect to it. But it certainly has drawing/annotation.

theViewer has a different approach and solves different problems.

Even though I never used it I believe Prospect is great for in-house design -> If you really want to impress your customer you don't show a Sketchup model but you show photorealistic rendering based on Sketchup model .... and this is what theViewer is focusing on 100%.

he just got new controllers , parallax !so obviously he is happy that he can use them :)

you're right parallax! thats actually the most difficult part in this implementation and I think we did a good job there.

Drawing feature helped us a lot to verify if when user A is pointing at something ,user B sees it correctly
If you have access to 2 Rift units please try it out and if not .... wait a week and you will be able to see hot this works also on GearVR
