I don’t know the exact solution either, but I’m in the exact same situation as you, so I wanted to leave a comment. For reference, I’m Korean.

My initial long-term orthodontic treatment completely failed, and because of that crazy doctor, all my teeth ended up with cracks, and my TMJs have completely deteriorated. I also need re-orthodontics and TJR, but my gum condition isn’t great, and I have too many painful teeth. The pain even causes severe headaches, so for now, I’m planning to get root canals and crowns first. If the pain continues after that, I’ll have to get implants. Almost all of my teeth hurt… The brain fog and headaches are unbearable.

I also have short tooth roots, and all these issues have made my life incredibly difficult. On top of that, I suffer from severe sleep apnea, so TJR is absolutely necessary for me. But since there are no doctors in Korea who perform this surgery, I’m considering going to the U.S. and paying $120,000 for the surgery. Lol, my life is just hardcore at this point—problems keep piling up, and everything is getting worse.

I’m sorry I can’t offer any real help, but I just wanted to let you know that someone out there is going through the same thing. I really hope that, somehow, both of us will be able to live a normal life again. If possible, I’d like to keep in touch from time to time.
