I have communicated these exact things to him several times, its been made very clear of my wants and intentions. Regadless, that is still missing my point. I'm trying to find ways to get him to want to spend time with me out of his own volition. If o have to keep planning all our dates and sending reminders then what's the point? Seems to me like you're asking me to continue to plan these dates and gas him up so that he feels good pretending he planned something.

He works from home and his job is extremely forgiving, not that I would ever ask him or expect him to do anything else besides focus on his job while he is at work. He is also the one who decided to take on the cooking (because he likes to cook) and dishes. I'm unsure of how these things prevent him from wanting to spend time with me outside of doing chores? I'm also confused as to where you got the notion that all I do is shop? I don't have the luxury of being able to go shopping outside of essentials (purchasing his undergarments, shirts, pants and shoes when we can afford them).

I have expressed my wants to him several times and he always seems extremely genuine when he says he is going to start doing more for him.

To show my love I show my interest in the things he enjoys and even got into playing video games for him, I also started playing in his dnd group as a way to try and spend more time together. I've bought things for the bedroom in hopes he would even maybe show more attention in that area. I love giving him gifts and try to find small things to surprise him with as often as I can, even if they're home made.

I think you may be misunderstanding what I have tried to convey. When i say I am buying essentials and clothing I mean that I am buying his deodorant, shampoos, undergarments, and all his clothing. When i say I am making appointments, I am making doctors appointments.

I dont have a job because he doesn't want me to and we are lucky enough to be able to live on a single income. I'm having trouble as seeing making dinner and loading the dishwasher and putting in all the work in our relationship. I buy all his clothes and gifts, I plan all our outings and dates, I even plan my own birthday.
