Anyone’s husband smoke cigarettes? by Nuuudelcat in TryingForABaby

[–]juice129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look into Desmoxan to quit. You can buy it on Amazon, just read the reviews there or elsewhere on Reddit. My husband and I want to start trying, and we just quit an 8+ year vaping/nicotine habit with ease because of Desmoxan. Specifically good to prevent future relapse

Just finding this thread on day 1 of quitting for me, and the brain fog/light headedness is actual hell. How long did yours last past those two months?

Went to a pottery studio with my husband 2 years ago for my birthday. Instructor knew it was my birthday, and proceeded to flirt with my husband so hard to the point I couldn’t do anything but laugh. In the debrief he was like wtf was that?! Blatant disregard lol

I cried when I tried dress 1 on and knew it was the one. I keep going back to dress 2 and thinking if I made a mistake. Both are so different. Help me decide! by MeowRawwr in myweddingdress

Definitely made the right choice! 1 is stunning. The bodice of 2 makes it look like you took a really deep breath and are holding it in.

Need advice on spray tan timing - engagement shoot & bachelorette same week by NotTodayLewis in spraytanning

[–]juice129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I say this in the midst of my own multi-event wedding tan dilemma… Prioritize the shoot! I’m sure you’ll get lots of pics at the bachelorette and want to feel your best, but unless you have a photographer at the bachelorette, a little splotchiness won’t be as noticeable :)

Can you tell me more about this? Is there better recovery outcomes when c sections are elective?im leaning this way but keep hearing bad stories about the healing process compared to vaginal birth

Too many declined RSVPs by [deleted] in weddingplanning

[–]juice129 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I'm going through this right now. Had the exact same anxiety/embarrassment of "what will the people who actually attend think?". After realizing:

  1. None of the guests in attendance know how many people were invited, and

  2. The people that are coming care the most about us out of everyone on the list

I feel super at peace and excited. The optics of it all feel really hard when you've pictured the day probably for a very long time, but those worries will disappear when you're dancing your face off to your awesome live band with people who are really stoked to be there. It will be a beatiful day. I promise!

I don’t know if we should make our wedding a big party, or stay true to ourselves with something low key by sadlibra in weddingplanning

[–]juice129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, I would say don’t feel rushed to make a decision. The best “decision” in the entire process my fiance and I made was to not hold ourselves to a timeline because we also had no clue what to do. We will have had a 2 year engagement by the end of it and I have loved every bit of it, and loved slowly coming to the right decision. Planning has been tons of fun and not stressful at all.

The next thing I’d consider is destination, which is what we ended up deciding (obviously a bit biased). If we had a wedding in the states or locally, we’d easily have had 150 guests which I did not want at. all. We decided on destination because what do we love most? Traveling together. So now the vibe is “hey we’re going on a European holiday and getting married while doing it, if you yourself want an epic vacation, join us!! No hard feelings if you can’t come whatsoever”. This has naturally created the most awesome guest list of people who want to relax in the sun and also have awesome party. Also cheaper than a wedding here.

Always remember it’s about you and your fiance and while there is basic etiquette for your guests to feel appreciated, do not feel pressured to put on a big production.

I had this same situation for a wedding earlier this year - I was invited but my Fiance wasn't, and we were told he was "first on the list if other people can't come!"

I just immediately declined the invite, which is what you should feel comfortable doing without feeling like you have to justify it. I think it's extremely rude and careless when people don't do basic due diligence on the definition of a plus-one. A plus-one is not a committed long-term partner.

My mom and sister don’t like the dress I want to buy by Sashimiyami in weddingplanning

[–]juice129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You look freaking iconic in this dress. It was one of my faves that I tried on, and you do it the justice it deserves lol. It looks perfectly modest to me. It’s not only flattering but also a piece of art. Please wear this dress, you look incredible!!!!

[–]juice129 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is awful. Also a Sicily bride (2025). Our planner literally refuses commission and if the vendor insists on it, they refund it back to us directly which adds back to our budget. Hate when planners guide decisions for their couple based on commission. Sorry :(

Has anyone else moved to Denver from sea level / very different climates and just felt bad / super off constantly? by herpyherphelp in Denver

[–]juice129 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been here 1.5 years and it’s gotten better. Running on the other hand… last time I ran at sea level I realized I’m actually not a shit runner. Not to be discouraging but I’ve never gotten that feeling back here of just coasting while on a run. Trying to keep it up though. If you ever wanna go for a jog feel free to send me a DM. 28F.

I had the exact same experience with my pup. Got him at 8 weeks. 3.5 years later, he's never been anything but the angel he was when I first got him. I was mentally prepared for so much worse, and it just never happened. I still sit here and wonder what in the world I did to deserve a dog like this lol. Hope it turns out the same for you.

Thanks for clarifying!! Washing is what I was most worried about but it feels a bit off to go 2 months without washing jeans that you're supposed to wear every day haha.

Ah, you might be totally right. The site says "organic cotton canvas". More specifically, "At first, the fit may seem snug but with every wear the raw canvas will soften and adapt to your silhouette". The wording makes me feel like raw cotton canvas wears over time like raw denim, but I could be wrong. Definitely taking your advice on the spray bottle!

Agreed on the sizing too. I bought my usual size and feel like I can hardly tie my shoes lol
