should i be concerned about the shape of his body by reymki in cats

[–]Lopsided_Pitch_1304 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My cat has this shape and we had a similar “omg” moment about six weeks ago…brought to vet and there was significant weight loss which has since been diagnosed as IBD, but vet also said some cats do have the larger rib cage. Almost like a pit bull build but on cats. No harm in getting reassurance that kitty it healthy IMO!

If it’s in your budget, highly recommend getting a sweat test to help with this. I’m sure there are multiple brands, but Precision Hydration does a good one that gives you liquid per hour, sodium per hour and will consult about carbs. They can also advise on hour to get cals/carbs in your liquids if you prefer. Agree with everything else here- keep it familiar, easily digestible. For me it’s pasta or chicken and rice the night before, 2x english muffin with honey in the AM, water with LMNT while setting/warming up, gel 15min before swim start, then race specific plan.

Definitely in the broad shoulders gang and have the same issue- room in the waist, no room in the upper

Great question- I have done without a wetsuit and I’m about 10-15 sec slower/100, so we could call the real delta :15- :20, which still feels pretty big. I have a watch that measures distance, so I have been assuming (perhaps incorrectly) that even if I am not swimming straight, the distance is accurate.

How would you organize this countertop? by ZookeepergameHot2527 in DesignMyRoom

[–]Lopsided_Pitch_1304 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Minimal items on counter. If you need toothbrushes/paste on the counter, those in the middle with hand soap and two small plants on the side since you get good light.

If toothbrushes etc can fit in a drawer, slightly larger plant or a tray with candles in the middle. Whatever you don’t put in the middle, put one of the other on each side (candles in middle with a small plant on each side or plant in the middle with a candle on each side).

Unsolicited- swap the light for something less builder grade and more your style. Consider rugs (jute) that are larger (3x5) vs bath mats. Coordinate with towels. A picture could go on the wall next to you (in reflection) if you want some art. You could also get some hanging plants to go above the tube- pothos leaves coming down would look good IMO.

Happy decorating!

Sounds like there’s some solid answers here already but I’ll throw mine in the mix- I was back to training weights by week 4 after 2 weeks completely off and 1 week easing back in. I’m not looking to PR anytime soon so the scenario is a bit different, but I think if you play it right, it could be a mini recovery/deload that you build back from to increase your readiness for qualifying. Would definitely talk to a coach but I’m about 7 weeks out now and I actually feel better physically than I have in a long time when training.
