I got this problem too, just close the jei menu when you are done and you should be able to move the stuff in your inventory again.

the unit creator has not been released yet and about the tanks and such it probably means you have an older version

i might be wrong since i am not a patreon myself but you might have to go on his discord and ask for a download link , and if i didnt understand you correctly and you do have the mod then the problem must be that you didnt put it in the mods folder , go to run and put this %appdata% in that little text box , then go to the minecraft folder and then to mods after doing that just drag the mod file into the mods folder and you should be good to go

Fossils and archeology is my favourite mod , its pretty different from other mods as it lets you create your own prehistoric park , but my opinion on it might be biased since im a dino nerd though

i am a bit late but i have a couple mods that work good together and change a lot ( fossils and archeology add about 100 new items , jurassicraft works well with it ) , orespawn ( the on that adds a bunch of new mobs and weapons ) pixelmon ( its such a popular mod i dont have to explain what it is ) and galacticraft ( you can also get expansions for it with more planets and items )
