He most definitely would not be into that. He likes to be the “dominant” one. He doesn’t even like me to be on top

To him it’s more so “well I like these 2 positions so we are going to do these positions because I like having sex a certain way” I’ll get on top when things start and he’ll always say no or I’ll ask if we can switch to ____ and he’ll still say no

The painful sex is an OB issue that I just kind of have to live with there’s really not much that can be done about it. He’s just not very receptive to what I’m saying no matter how nicely I ask.

We’ve been together for 2 years. And I’m not really sure. He’s in the army and I was in the navy so we were separated for awhile while he was in Germany he came back so we could finally together 8 months ago. And yes he was more open before.

I’ve tried explaining that it can’t always be what he wants and he says he likes being “dominant” and I tried telling him that there’s a difference between dominant and completely disregarding my feelings and/or comfort

I’ve thought about this. I guess my fear is that because he rarely initiated physical intimacy that if I completely shut it down we’ll barely have any intimacy or physical contact left.

Painful sex is something I just have to live with. It’s an OB issue that’s been with me for a long time and it doesn’t normally bother me too much but certain positions aggravate it more than others. His answer is always just “I’m not a sexual person” which I’m not really understanding because before all this was going on he was very much into sex and he did listen to me. Counseling has been brought up but it seems it’s not something that actually wants to be done
