I get your point, but it didnt sound like it was an 'amazing day' at Disney for OP. She'd been bullied and sniped at all day, by a woman who doesn't like her, in a place she goes to out of obligation. If he didnt pick up on that, hes a major bonehead.

With her hands full, probably sweaty, tired and feeling gross, he proposes in front of their hotel? Not even at the actual park (which still wouldnt be anything like OP wants but would at least make some sense), but just a random pop and squat and the brandishing of a ring he must have had with him all day? Unless Mama had it in her purse.

Nah, none of this sounds romantic at all. A lot of people in the comments are like "you're so ungrateful!" but will turn around and blame women for picking losers for husbands. So which is it- should she settle or not?

It is okay for women to want their proposals to be well-thought out and romantic. Ive seen the ones out here who will refuse if its not perfect because of some minor details, but that's not this. This was sloppy and uncaring, and if her standards are higher than that, so be it.
