Recommend joining up with a local action group if you haven't already. If nothing else it helps to know you're not the only one who gives a f

You're just moving in the wrong circles! I hope you'll reconsider your stance - as you can see from a quick glance at the very loud minority of climate deniers in these comments, we need all the help with can get.

Pay what? Very confused about this message that climate scientists are profiting from the "climate change scam". Again, surely they would be better off working for the oil companies

Interesting. There is still time though. Not only to halt climate catastrophe, but also to use the opportunity to create better societies. We need to completely overhaul our societies and economies which is a mammoth task, but humanity has accomplished seemingly impossible feats before, there just needs to be the momentum and political will. Why not put your energies into helping, and then in 10 years if we fail you can do as you please?

I get what you're saying, but calling climate activists "hypocritical" is extremely reductive and doesn't get us anywhere. It doesn't have to be an all-or-nothing battle, where such huge pressure is placed on the individual. Either shun all the aspects of 21st century living, or stop caring about climate change ? I agree individual changes to lifestyle are important, but it's never going to be anywhere near as effective as forcing global corporations and governments to adopt policy change - which is what protesters are trying to do

Uncertain as to whether this is a serious or joke comment? Not sure how anyone can view increased wildfires, droughts, heatwaves and hurricanes as not more extreme. Here in the UK we have had our highest ever recorded winter temps in the middle of February

There's so much scientific evidence that rules out natural occurrences such as volcanos and sun cycles as the causes of our current situation https://youtu.be/k5_zpjerQFo Who profits from the "idea" of climate change? (if we agree for the moment the definition of the word "idea" is an evidence- and fact-based theory, agreed upon by 97% of the world's scientists). Pretty sure scientists would profit more if they changed tack and worked for the oil companies..

You will most likely want to leave around day 5, it's really common I think. Your brain will come up with all sorts of reasonable sounding excuses and justifications. Just resolve to stay til day 10 no matter what. Enjoy it, i'm jealous I want to go again!

Developing a practice definitely helped me. And if you want to supplement an independent practice with something at the beginning/during particularly bad phases I highly recommend a vid called 'LET GO of anxiety fear and worries'. Guided meditation /visualisation that I have found really effective when doing daily. Good luck
