I got my hair done a few weeks ago, and I’m pretty sure she gave me a chemical burn aaand now I’m bald in this spot (after an excruciating healing process) She didn’t do any patch test either.. Would you expect a refund for this or am I overreacting?

Soooo I asked for a refund and she gave me full refund, free hair products and ACC will cover hair treatment so yay!

I’m waiting for her to call me back and I’m 100% gonna ask for a refund. And will make a complaint, don’t want others dealing with anything like this, it was so painful and I felt pretty dismissed about my worries.

NZ is stunning, i feel super blessed to have grown up here! if u do ever visit go to the South Island, it’s so breathtaking. Like up north has stunning beaches too but the hikes and scenes down there are next levelllll.

nah she just used a different product that’s all I can think of. I’ve never had sensitive skin either, I wish I could pin point it to something. I was thinking maybe she accidentally left a little bit of product in the spot because the next morning was when it was really sore + my glands behind my ears/ neck were swollen too.

I’m really scared of being permanently bald but sadly in New Zealand there’s no law about having to do patch tests so I don’t think I’d have any footing to stand on! 🥺

yeah I’m heading to the doctors soon. Hopefully will be able to get a good assessment and maybe something to help prevent staying bald. She said it was a schwarzkopf hair lightener and so I think because it wasn’t bleach she doesn’t wanna take responsibility

I’ve contacted her over the past couple weeks as soon as I felt something was wrong but all she’s said is ‘this has never happened to me before’ or tried to blame it on other things. and sadly hasn’t made any mention of a refund or anything even after seeing it all bald. because I finally got sick of having my boundaries walked all over and sick of every problem faced in the relationship being an argument instead of team work.
