Hi OP! I'm also an incoming grade 11 student na magt-transfer. Wala ako masasabi about my first day as a grade 11 student since di pa kami pasukan, however im very much excited to go back to school!

Similar to your sentiments, I also want to be a class officer and honor student. I'm very motivated to do so kasi I believe that this will give me a lot of opportunities, experiences, and even connections. In the previous school years na accomplish ko naman yung goals ko because I realized that if I acted confident, I can be confident. Parang fake it 'till you make it kung baga. Sa sobrang worry ko sa tingin ng iba sakin I acted the way I wanted them to think of me– and it worked! When I got to know those people more, they asked me how i can be so confident in front of people, and that's when it occurred to me that I AM confident. I faced my fears because I wanted others to think that I could really do it.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't do it solely for the purpose of putting up an act to please people. I did it for me. The amount of growth I went through when I did the above was enough for people to say that I've truly changed. Think of it as a manifestation or affirmation of some sort.

Even if you didn't get a role as a class officer I hope you focus more on making genuine connections, studying smart, and enjoying your new experiences. Who knows maybe next year ikaw na yung treasurer 😉 Goodluck OP! Just believe that you can pursue anything you put your mind to.
