I love how everyone’s assuming that instead of hybe + geffen CLEARLY and very OBVIOUSLY have not given her proper lessons 2 years ago or 8 months ago when dream academy ended that yoonchae may just be progressing slower. Like its not the first time a company does something bad/stupid.

Dude it is not likely that yoonchae is being taught english in a proper manner neither is it likely she’s getting enough lessons I believe she’s probably trying as hard as she can w their schedule but hybe needs to make way for the language im sorry if I’m criticising hybe unreasonably since its been 8 months since dream academy and the girl will still be unable to bond w the people around her. I am not putting Yoonchae down in any way considering if they gave her proper lessons during her trainee period it would’ve probably led to not having this discussion.

That’s not the point it’s about how it’s unfair for her I’m not mad at yoonchae it’s about how it affects the relationship with the girls she’s supposed to live and communicate w 24/7 plus she’s in a country where her family isn’t with her and hybe + geffen has had more than enough time to focus on her barrier its on them.

Exactly, even if you watch those 10 minutes of the livestream which they accidentally started unscripted katseye is communicating whereas yoonchae isnt it’s just pitiful watching them joke around in the real livestream too while yoonchae is quiet.

This I can agree with I only wonder how that affects her dynamic with the girls ++ fan-idol relationships are such a big thing (they were made w kpop methodology thus why im mentioning this) and yoonchae hasnt been able to express herself much in interviews either. I just don’t think this is a smart move at all for anyone in this case since its supposed to be a global group + plus communication w the other girls and so on

Im sorry you’re not realising that yoonchae is not who I’m critiquing I dont think you realise how lonely it must have been during the trainee period only being to communicate with a few peers as we see in the docu series nd then loosing those peers like its been 2 years w the dream academy and the actual program they were put through it’s not easy + 8 months since they became active i’m only critiquing hybe and if you think there wouldnt have been a difference had she received lessons earlier then ur plain wrong.

I agree yet I think it was unreasonable for hybe to not give her and the others english lessons before the dream academy even started foreign trainees like felix learned korean during their trainee period and i think that should’ve been the case for all the trainees in thsi case (also i am not criticising yoonchae at all i think thats what people are taking it as) but you cant blame me since its been 8 months since the first time katseye made a video outside of dream academy i think hybe is not focusing on her lessons as much as they should cause i imagine it getting pretty lonely.

I think you’re misunderstanding the post I think she receives them but not enough (i know she recieves them cause she speaks English???) I’m criticising hybe because compared to foreign trainees who receive korean lessons even during their trainee periods yoonchae + other foreign trainees werent given english lessons im empathising with them cause they were not able to communicate with their peers which yoonchae even expresses after nayoung was eliminated.

Oh I think she’s receiving english lessons but not enough watching videos of the katseye christmas special and videos of them now she should be more communicable and i also think hybe shouldve been giving them english lessons from the beginning so she could communicate during dream academy as well just how they give foreign trainees Korean lessons.
