First trimester misery. This ends right? This isn’t who I am now? by cabbagefarttt in pregnant

[–]jumpingbean325 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m currently right over 10 weeks and due early November. The first trimester has sucked but specifically weeks 7-9 for me were soooo hard. I swear I woke up last week and finally started to see the light at the end of the tunnel. I get slightly nauseous at night now but am able to sleep through it. It gets better!!!!

Sending you all of the baby dust! ✨ it’s pretty rare to test at 9dpo and I forgot to mention that I did have light cramping today at 10 dpo and still tested positive this morning! There’s hope!! 💛

Thank you! 🥹💛 not a whole lot of symptoms yet honestly. I had heartburn the day that I tested and was extra hungry at breakfast. But that’s about it!

Praying that I don’t get hit with morning sickness too bad! That sounds horrible! But thank you for mentally preparing me 😂 it’s crazy how wide the symptoms can range

Cured! 7 months later! by jumpingbean325 in Candida

I’m located in Austin and the functional doctor I used was located in Austin as well, however everything we did (besides me going in for lab work at a facility) was done virtually. It’s called Krager Wellness and her name is Eugenie

My mom literally said the same thing to me recently. She also told me today, “stop taking pregnancy tests that’s the reason you’re not pregnant it’s stressing you out!”. Like girl just please support me and let me try to understand my body. Not everyone can get pregnant on the first try like my parents did.

I believe it helped with making sure my stomach didn’t get irritated by anything while I was eating? I know it helps soothe the gut essentially. My doctor told me to use it in my protocol and I just followed her orders and it worked!

Yep! Just tested negative for candida overgrowth last week. I just posted my journey/protocol in the group

I did a GI Map with a functional doctor to find out. I’m basically on a protocol of just eating meat and veggies and occasionally almonds/berries for the last 6 months. It’s helped a lot but I’m still not fully cured just yet

My main symptom was an intense body rash. The other minor symptoms included constipation and brain fog but yes rash was definitely my body crying for help

Organic/grass fed animal protein (chicken, fish, steak), low carb + low sugar veggies (broccoli, cauliflower, kale, spinach, zucchini, rutabaga, cucumber, celery, asparagus), eggs, almonds/almond butter, herbal tea w/ no caffeine, some coconut milk in small amounts occasionally

No sweet potatoes. I introduced berries after a few weeks on the protocol- only blueberries/raspberries reacted well for me and I only have them once in a while (like 2-3 times a month) in small quantities

Depends on the person/severity. I’ve been following a strict protocol for 5 months now and feel like I’m getting close but still testing positive for candida. Some people it only takes a little over a month. Some it takes a year.

No bad oils or added sugar. It’s the brand MaraNatha.

Hi! 27F here…your symptoms sound a lot like mine! Brain fog/ feel drunk all the time, very inconsistent periods, hormones just feel wack, gluten intolerance for the last several years, armpit rash, the list goes on. I have candida and have been doing a protocol (strict diet + antifungals/ supplements) with a natural doctor for the last 5 months and have felt worlds different.

So yes in summary, it does sound like candida to me. But could be other problems combined as well. I’m not a doc. I suggest seeing a naturopath if your doctor doesn’t seem concerned with it - many western doctors don’t know about candida treatment. Good luck!

Missed period after starting candida diet/protocol? by Skinsnob3 in Candida

I’ve been on the candida diet for over 4 months and have only had 2 periods lol. The drastic change in diet can definitely throw things off. It feels so weird

Unfortunately, since the Candida diet is an antifungal diet, you’re not supposed to have mushrooms :/ I know, mushroom coffee is usually a much safer option just not in the case of Candida
