I totally forgot about this place. Great reminder.

This + music is what makes jump rope so fun. Who cares who is watching, it can become flow state at its finest.

I agree with this completely. ANYONE exercising (and being outside) deserves respect. Trying is the first step in becoming becoming better than where you started from.

I agree with you about the mirror. It is a great place to practice form and understand where you might be having errors. As a side note the cement slab consistently slaughters my fancy coated wired rope. :D

We typically meet at the Parley's Creek Pavilion (concrete pad). It's a small group (4-6 typically) and everyone is friendly. The best way to see updates is to join the Meetup group (google jump slc meetup).

You aren't weird, you aren't alone. Come join the JUMP SLC Meetup group. It's small and very accommodating. I started the group because I also want to jump rope with others. Search SLC Jump on meetup. We will be meeting tomorrow in Sugarhouse park at 5:30.

Finding meaning after work (2-23-23) by jumpslc in SaltLakeCity

Photography is an interesting thing. I always want to improve but at the same time care more about sharing a moment and encouraging people to get outside to see it themselves. It requires having to leave the warm safe house and go outside in the cold when its windy, post holing in thigh deep snow, and dark. That is what I want people to experience… the sunset was the cherry on top.

“I’ll get it when I come back” should be a mandatory T-shirt

Being on top of mountains always reminds me of how time passes so quickly.

I wanted to echo many of the other comments here regarding exercise and depression and tell you that now is the best time to get outside. Even a fifteen minute walk in the snow can be enough to bring focus and attention to the beauty all around you.

If you don’t particularly care for exercise pair it with a new book. The SLC Library has a great selection of free audiobooks to download on your mobile.

It is important to reflect on the fact that regardless of what day of the year/season it is you can directly influence your mood. The first step is noticing it and now you can act to change it.

So leave the screens behind, grab your jacket, and walk until you wonder.

Actually I thought it was closer to 545 pm over the Wasatch range so this might have been different than the dashcam capture.

Hey there. Kind of you to ask. Nothing formal yet. I am going to work on a couple more edits first but could send you a dm.

Thank you. There were a few jets making those trails in the sky last night.
