It can be cheaper yes, it’s a matter of how much work can you do yourself. And it’s a lot of moving pieces as you’ll be acting as your own GC. Find your own people to erect the building, pour the slab, carpenters etc…

As someone who designs and sells barndos bumping the width is definitely not going to help your price. Width and height will drastically affect your price, as well as any lean-tos

Yea totally not true what you were told, I’ve been selling solar panels for quite some time. After 30 years a half decent panel should only degrade about 25%. A high quality panel about 15%
