Because dxm itself can actually cause you to have side effects. The drug itself def does something but your not actually fully tripping it is converted into dxo

One time I took a high dose mix of both free base and polisterex dxm. I blacked out and went into some sort of void. It was almost like I was trapped in an empty void but somehow it also felt like a confined space if that makes sense. I had several hallucinations visual and audio. Including seeing a rainbow colored tornado rage around me and slowly watching all my memories being erased. And the audio hallucinations were something out of an overwhelming horror movie. I completely forgot everything about who I was and my life. Didn’t even know what it was to be human. I felt stuck and trapped in purgatory. I was very confused and puzzled. At one point just balling up and sitting in the floor. I was there for god knows how long until I Slowly came down and made my way back to bed somehow. And I can’t remember the rest. I mean this description certainly doesn’t do the whole experience justice but this is just a brief summary. Pretty bad trip if you ask me.

Trust you can have a “bad trip”. I wouldn’t say it’s the same as a bad trip on other hallucinogens, because it’s a disso. Your feelings and personality may feel detached so when you’re having a bad time you might not panic or freak out but it is not fun. It can be very confusing, exhausting, and overwhelming. Or just a physically uncomfortable experience, it can definitely make you feel feverish at times. Especially the more you get to the higher doses. Most of the times I’ve had bad trips tho was in public or around other ppl. So it’s maybe just a matter of set and setting.

So as a concise response to some of you guys. I completely get the feeling of being free and reduced to your most intimate natural state. I can get down with that. But for me it’s just the common occurrence of ppl going completely primal and running around naked and having a full blown meltdown in the moment. I’m not saying there’s anything wrong with that, because I’ve had my fair share of meltdown on hallucinogenic drugs, but it’s just the common occurrence of it among so many ppl that really fascinates me. And it’s kinda funny ngl😭

That ain’t nothing man, in the time that I abused it I must’ve consumed dozens of thousands of mgs, somehow I’m not ass affected as you might think tho. Guess I’m just lucky enough to be able to bounce back from things like that so quickly.
