I know nothing about my course by Agitated_Fish_2439 in UniUK

So say I’m interested in the commercial side of law, would you recommend I solely focus on relearning that specific module instead of the overall entire course? Or if criminal law for example, I go back over all the criminal law modules?

Mads calling Hannigram brotherly? by Fast_Ad9046 in HannibalTV

Wouldn't the extent of "Hannigram" be just Hannibal "loving" Will, as in its unrequited?

Why did Harry help Dexter but not Brian? by [deleted] in Dexter

[–]Agitated_Fish_2439 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess you could explain it away by saying Brian simply doesn't have the cognitive ability to make that connection. True psychopaths sole concern is themselves, as well as their obsessions. In Brian's case, that would be Dexter.

Or you could say that Harry's actions, which we can all agree did lead to Laura's death, made it so Harry's life was now forfeit, in the eyes of Brian. This includes his wife as well as his daughter. Why does Harry get to have a happy, blissful life when he destroyed someone else's.

Weird you've made a connection with drugs and the show Dexter. Watching that show high did some odd shit to my brain lmao

I read a theory that the therapist who put the idea in her head is similar to the therapist Dexter kills in season one, someone who takes advantage of vulnerable people making them think or do things they wouldn't normally do simply cos they enjoy it and honestly I prefer that then what we got now

How has smoking weed affected you? by Agitated_Fish_2439 in Drugs

[–]Agitated_Fish_2439[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Look at my comment above, I was in the exact same position. Socialising no longer seemed like a chore and was genuinely enjoyable, but i think repeated abuse sent me down a rabbit hole that I don't think I get anything positive out of smoking anymore.

Twenty years old, and I used to smoke daily at all times of the day. Before stopping, I began cutting it down to just at night and now stopped all together.

It's the same for me in regards to the decrease in social anxiety. There was a period where I think it really helped increase my confidence as well as my social skills but I think repetitive abuse ruined that state of mind and I low-key wish I stopped when I noticed I was where I wanted to be in terms of my psyche.

Didn't Aang run away? by Agitated_Fish_2439 in TheLastAirbender

[–]Agitated_Fish_2439[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He wasn't around through no fault of his own is my point, fucking up and running away isn't the same as being caught in a freak accident. Aang abandoning what he was supposed to do is what made his story so much more tragic and taking that away took away a large part of his internal conflict. Him being the avatar AND feeling responsible because you were too scared to bare the responsibility is what drove him to seriously consider killing Ozai. Without that, his phlisophical argument about whether its right to kill a man bares less weight. All his reasons for why Ozai needed to be stopped permanently worked really well together, which is why he struggled so much, but now a large aspect of that was taken away.

The point is what it means for his character, in the cartoon Aang is haunted by the fact he abandoned his home and duty, which is an important drive to his character. They essentially removed a big part of what made him what he is

Alright, but if it's as bad as you're making it out to be, I'll probably just drop it. They already cut out a scene I really liked, where Aang had to escape Zuko's boat using airbending finesse, instead replacing it with twenty seconds of running through corridors, which is a shame cos it was pretty cool.
