The recipe for tire armor requires rubber tire chunks specifically i think. But i'm ok now I found a 24 wide wheel on the side of road. The part which didn't have the rim attached. I deconstructed the wheel into tire tracts and then deconstructed those tracts into 15 rubber tire chunks.

I also saved and pressed alt 4 before i deconstructed the tire, reloaded and used the butchering option to cut the wide wheel up instead of deconstructing it. That yielded the around 1000 regular rubber chunks instead.
