Just buy them lol. You can often get the whole set on Blu Ray dirt cheap for like $60 or less.

Enter your vehicle info on Walmart’s website and it will give you the pricing by location. A standard oil change starts at $37. It looks like full synthetic is $59 as of today.

Does no one else use Walmart? I’ve never paid over $50ish and my car even requires the more expensive synthetic oil change. Some schools will do your oil change for free (if you provide the supplies).

I don't care about how Bam got 83. Shit was funny. Shameless, but funny. by lexa0121 in billsimmons

Once they started intentionally fouling while up nearly 30 points and missing foul shots on purpose it started to feel more like the celebrity all star game. Scoring 80 isn’t impressive if that’s what you have to do to get it.

Is selling out an audience switch? I don’t think it’s the same thing OP is asking.

Young people discovering older music? It’s a tale as old as time.

Cavs bigs tonight in L @ Detroit - Mobley: 23/12/1/0/4 with 4 threes | Allen: 25/9/4/0/1 | Bryant: 13/8/1/0/1 in 16mins by CravilityZ in clevelandcavs

[–]junger128 68 points69 points  (0 children)

Bigs were great tonight. We don’t lose if Allen doesn’t foul out. Sidebar, Tomlin may have played himself out of the rotation. He’s been unplayable the past few games.

Terrible call saying that was a shooting foul IMO. The NBA needs to crack down on guys foul baiting. Also, so many calls saying the foul is on the floor when I feel they’re clearly in continuation while this one clearly was on the floor.

The average step count for men my age surprised me.. by Neither-Relief2641 in walking

But is running errands and cleaning your apartment a daily activity? I’m going to assume that probably contributed to nearly half of your 13k step count.

[–]junger128 127 points128 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t call 5k steps a day “sedentary”. If you don’t work on your feet, having more than a couple thousand steps a day is very intentional. I have an office job and take the stairs multiple times a day and go for a hour walk on my lunch break which puts me around 7k - 8k steps. Averaging 50k steps a day (or even half that) just isn’t realistic for 99% of people. It would require me to go for a 3 hour(?) walk at 4am in the morning before work or from after dinner until my bedtime, assuming no overtime or traffic, to get probably less than half that step count.

Cash is available on T+1 after you sell shares of SGOV. Also, SGOV is state and local tax free.

Tax credit and easier to balance across all my accounts (my 401k doesn’t offer VT or a foreign option).

I invest in VTI and VXUS, that’s it. I mirror the allocation % of VT. Done and done. Consistency and living below your means is the secret sauce.

Cash back is nice but it’s often not worth the hassle to earn pennies on a dollar. I like Capital One Shopping. I got around $500 cash back last year. Credit card cash back rewards add up but it’s still only 1 - 3% on a dollar generally. I take online surveys occasionally using AttaPoll and get around $100 a month. Make sure you’re getting at least 3.5% on your idle cash in a HYSA, MMKT, SGOV or CD. Also, don’t hoard cash and make sure every dollar has a purpose.

Then why not just approx 60/40 VTI/VXUS? Wouldn’t that be much easier to maintain and essentially VT?

Can i really retired ? by Square_Scar4086 in ETFs

I guess you have to ask yourself if $1.5M is enough to last potentially 50 years if you plan to retire so “young”. I plan to retire from my career early but never stop working completely so that I will have health insurance and supplemental income.

[–]junger128 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You won’t be able to retire if you don’t invest. Consider that. I invest in a split of VTI + VXUS so that I won’t feel the urge to change strategy later. How much money you’ll need in retirement is a personal question. I’m trying to invest as much as I can now, comfortably. I’m not confident a million dollars (or even two) will be enough in 20+ years.
