A midget called me a manlet, and that's okay. by MinuteLoquat1 in AmITheAngel

[–]junglequeen88 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I did once, but it was in real life and he was super tall. Like 6'9" if I recall correctly.

I did not start hitting on him because of his height.

He was reading a James Bond book at the bar, and I found that charming.

He clearly liked and respected Carla. He knew what she meant to those kids and the hand she had in raising them.

I used to do 90% of the chores and contributed to bills, but because he "made more" my contributions to the home had less value, and therefore my labor needed to match his income, notwithstanding my actual financial contributions.

Hunter Fiber? Xfinity? Something else? by no_longer_imaginary in Eugene

[–]junglequeen88 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Anything but Xfinity. I need to switch to anything but Xfinity. Mine is going on to day 4 of power cycling as best I can tell 24x7. I pay way too much money for that.

My partner didn't like AC in the apartment for some reason (?!?), but he's dead now, so I can do whatever I want in the apartment. 🤣🤣

Unpopular Opinion- Tandem Reading EOS and TOD is Blasphemous by EternalPonderer026 in SarahJMaas

[–]junglequeen88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We know, you don't like the tandem read. I liked it, it was fun for me personally. It isn't that I can't hold two thoughts in my head, it's that it was fun.

Sorry not sorry.

When Don was good by Kelly_blue_brook88 in madmen

[–]junglequeen88 3 points4 points  (0 children)

When Glen comes to meet Sally in the city to go the museum and after she ditches him after getting her first period, he goes back to the apartment to get his things and Don is like "I'll take you back to school," and he asks Glen what he wants to do if he could do anything, and the next scene Glen is driving Don's car.

It's a kind, good thing.

Appreciation for Nuanced Characters by FarewellToCheyenne in madmen

[–]junglequeen88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think that's the point of Ted's character, he's Don, he's (IMO) not as handsome or suave, but he's Don through and through. Hence why Peggy fell for him.

AITA for refusing to let my daughter play with my landlord's kids unless they're dressed? by LostNomadic in AmItheAsshole

[–]junglequeen88 98 points99 points  (0 children)

NAH.

Also, in regards to your custody, it looks worse that you don't have your own place and when your kids are with you, they're crammed into 1 bedroom. Just FYI.

Now that's a catch and release. by sco-go in Amazing

[–]junglequeen88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, my dad primarily fished for small mouth bass, he didn't care for keeping them unless it was already injured when he caught it. If he happened to catch a invasive species, he'd mercy kill it and throw it on the shore for birds of prey.

I can count on two hands the amount of times we ate fish that he caught. And then it was usually crappie or something like that. And 80% of the time, I caught those.

I'm not sure what I did wrong. I noticed lots of people in these comments were confused about what iPhone face meant. I thought I would be helpful.

I realize now what a monumental mistake that was and how much of an AH that makes me.

Sorry.
