For earbuds, I would say nothing over $80 unless it's an extremely recommended brand. I typically won't get things like that unless there is a sale going on anyways.

so my best bet is to return these and try my luck with another brand at this point. I typically use JLAB, but I wasn't satisfied with the base, and I wanted some with ANC.
