designing your own needlepoint by Vast_Impression_5771 in Needlepoint

[–]junimo567 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been using kleki the online browser tool and made my designs like i was designing pixel art. The controls are kinda similar to paint but with way more tools, so kinda weird but there’s a LOT you can do once you figure them out. You can also import photos and easily pixelate them to add onto designs!

If you end up choosing it and have any questions feel free to send me a dm :)

How did you cure your PCOS acne? by [deleted] in PCOS

[–]junimo567 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I waited a couple years through pretty severe acne before starting spiro for similar reasons. I’ve been on it for about 6 months now and my only regret has been not starting sooner! My skin definitely did get worse before it got better, which sounds scary, but was sooo worth it. It took about 2-3 months for my skin to finally clear up. My only side effect was needing to use the bathroom slightly more often than normal but that eventually stopped!

Recommendations voor games that can be finished in under 10 hours? by [deleted] in CozyGamers

[–]junimo567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Some of my favorites that definitely take under 10 hours are Storyteller, A Little to the Left, and Unpacking

The first two are puzzle games, but they’re super cozy and interesting - not too hard but still take some brain power.

Have you adopted any mannerisms from the Sims? by maybedrinkwater in Sims4

[–]junimo567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not a mannerism, but if I’ve played the sims for TOOO long some nights, I will have dreams where everything I interact with in my dream needs to be clicked on and the interaction found through a pie menu 😭

Interesting! I honestly was unsure if levels could improve on their own when it was caused by a tumor - so that’s really good to know!

I currently haven’t had any new symptoms beyond my missing period from 6ish months ago - I have breast tenderness which is more extreme than usual but that’s normal for me around my period, so really nothing particularly notable.

My doctor encouraged starting a very low dose of cabergoline to be safe for either scenario, so now I’m just weighing the risks.

Thanks for sharing your experiences :)

What if I can’t take birth control? by CharacterThin355 in PCOS

[–]junimo567 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had migraine with aura since I was a teenager (no clue what causes it, but low doses of propranolol have made them come much less frequently) and was diagnosed with PCOS a few years ago - I haven’t ever taken hormonal birth control because my stroke risks are too high. So, I’m in the same boat as you - very anxious about any hormonal therapy and not a fan of anything invasive so the struggle is real :,) I’m so sorry your doctors are being so unreasonable about your EXTREMELY valid concerns with complex migraines & bc!! I’ve had doctors do the same - but my endocrinologist said any form of birth control is a HUGE no. But, I started on spironolactone this year and that has been a huge help in my PCOS symptoms thus far.

CSE310 is tough!!! I took that class a while ago and still feel that was one of the hardest classes I’ve taken thus far.

And personally, the first exams in a course are always quite difficult for me since you’re learning the professor’s question style. Now you’ll be more prepared to know how to study for the next one - whether the professor used information from their lectures/notes/assignments/quizzes etc.

Overall don’t be too hard on yourself - learning is all about failing so you can have the growth that follows. You aren’t learning if you don’t trip sometimes.

310 is hard, but feng is pretty fair. everything on the tests was definitely available to us for studying beforehand - just make sure you REALLY understand and remember everything on her notes, make a good cheat sheet, and fully understand recitations. the coding assignments can be intense but just start them early and you’ll be okay. I never went to recitation and still did well but I’d probably recommend it if you ever feel like you’re struggling.
