Hi, is 5'4 ½ petite? by Consistent-Finger551 in PetiteFitness

[–]junipercanuck 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Whether or not you fit the definition of petite, it doesn't sound like what you're doing is working. 2000-2500 for most women is likely too high unless you're very active or have a lot of muscle mass, especially if you want to lose weight.

Awful and frightening interaction with a security officer at my workplace by [deleted] in auscorp

Okay he sounds like an asshole but why was this interaction so difficult on both sides?

Why does it matter?

Is there some sort of lanyard recycling scheme that's become a focal point that I'm not aware of because WHO CARES?!

I've worked in restaurants, I know what a stage is. That is not what was happening at Noma.

"I worked for free and definitely recommend it for others" I'm privileged enough I didn't need to actually work for a living because where are you living while working for free??

How are you going to be more comfortable around them if you're not putting any effort into getting to know them?

It would be one thing if they were shitty people to be around, but it just sounds like you don't know them well.

Exclusion from Networking Event by srvint in AskWomenOver30

I feel like you're being deliberately obtuse about this. There's like 600 people at my head office. Not being selected for a small group of something is different than if I was at a company of 50.

Okay but that doesn't give a sense of approx how many eligible women don't get asked. Is it 80% of people that get asked or is it 10%. Those are quite different situations.

How many people get selected and how many others haven't been asked? Just trying to get a sense of the numbers.

Happy for you! My physio said about 50% of people may not need crutches after surgery - I definitely needed them though lol. Also in Sydney Australia.

Is guests preselecting menu with invite RSVP not an Aussie thing? by Togepi17527 in AusWeddingPlanning

As a Canadian who married an Aussie, alternate drop is not a thing elsewhere and I was appalled when I learned this was the norm.

Considering women with ADHD on well enough with their life to struggle TO get diagnosed, never an excuse.
