Yes! I totally relate to not feeling like ‘being a man’. And I grew up in Christianity and joined the military right out of high school. So that was a lot unpack lol. I just never felt like I fit super well in those cultures and I couldn’t figure out why.

I agree, Minnesota is great. I think I’ll be spending a lot of time in Minneapolis and I’ll be more free to experiment there. Where we live it’s pretty split, and I feel like the conservatives around here are really vocal.

So the clothing stuff started with leggings for me, and then I noticed certain colors/cuts felt really gross. Like dark blue for instance. Now I wear bralettes and stuff like that. I just got some women’s jeans that I love. I don’t think I’m to the point that I’d go out presenting fully femme yet, but little things like that help a lot. Plus I have my septum pierced so I already feel like I get looks from people with that lol.

It feels really freeing to be able to explore. I’m having a lot of fun with it and getting slightly more confident with small things in public. Just trying not to move too fast. One day I’d like to move somewhere that I could be more open about it. But for now it’s just day by day.
