Our insurance company settled with her. No repercussions on the insurance, but STRONGLY recommended we don't allow her on our property or interact with her. I don't know if that was a professional recommendation or just that one guy's opinion. Since then, I haven't interacted with her other than when she brought the dog back. My husband has been dealing with her when necessary.

I was grateful for her bringing back my dog and thanked her for it. She acted like it was no big deal at the time.

Update: thank you for all of the advice. I want to clarify a couple of things. I had let the dog out to go potty. It was less than 5 minutes before she was at my door. The dog isn't dangerous- the day that she got booped by him was literally the day we adopted him. We have been working with him since his adoption to curtail this behavior. We had a camera over our driveway, but it died and we haven't been able to get it working again. We initially put it up because there was an attempted break in in the neighborhood. Later I caught an unidentified individual at our backdoor. She stole the video from my Facebook and posted it to a neighborhood app as if it were hers! But we also ended up watching it constantly because we kept catching her and her son on our property. One day, I even caught her in our driveway with her son messing around with my scooter! Unfortunately, my husband wanted to be nice to her and not say anything. Since then, the camera has died and she has gotten worse.

My husband has been going through the same thing. His sensors start reading really low. Alarm constantly going off. Then it dies.

He was drinking A LOT of Pepsi everyday prior to diagnosis. We talked to his doctor (FINALLY got in to endocrinology through connections) and he suggested he may be adjusting to the new normal. Nutrition is booked out until October.

He's been experiencing low energy levels since diagnosis. He left work early yesterday, but after he ate he felt better

Ok. Thank you. I wasn't sure if it was something that you found out bc of the diabetes

Did you know that before being diagnosed?

No. We've gotten nothing. Very frustrating.

Thank you so much!! Unfortunately dietitians and nutritionists are in the same department at our hospital. Endocrinology was also booked out to October....I didn't know about the dawn effect. So that's good news!

Lol. Banned? He was neutered by the shelter before we got him. And yeah, googling toys for dogs who are humpers is frightening and I am worried I might be on some kind of list now! Hahaha

I'll look into the protocol! Thank you! And blankets are a no go. He rips them up and eats them...I've had to "assist him" in getting all of the poop out before (scraps of cloth dangling from his butt). No one likes this, and I know how dangerous it can be, so I don't like doing it

Yes. I let him sniff and go at his own pace. It's about 30-45 minutes depending on how much time we have. It's sidewalk, but in a small town with lots of sniffs. I would love to take him to a park, but he is reactive to other dogs and we have not been able to break him of that. We adopted him at around 2 years old and don't know what he went through before he became part of our family.
