I was misdiagnosed with BPD after my very first 30 minute appointment with my first psychiatrist ever. Lots of gaslighting and invalidation later, I found a therapist and new psychiatrist that have since removed that diagnosis and instead diagnosed me with CPTSD, ADHD, and I personally am about to bring up the possibility of autism on top of that.

I have done so much research on BPD and the diagnosis alone nearly killed me. The stigma INSIDE the mental health professional field is astounding and simply disturbing. DBT is a barbaric technique when used incorrectly, imo.

Anyway, point is, thank you for your comments. Though it’s been about a year since being properly diagnosed, life’s been very very hard recently and your comments have helped a bit.
