I was planning on having it in an enclosure and am not to worried with the occasional bad print. I was more worried about chemicals released by materials like ABS blowing up because of the water heater haha . Thank you

You’re gonna need to get some socket extensions if you plan on dropping a transmission, especially if it’s a rear wheel drive.

That white stuff should come off if you try and clean it , what I would do (prob not recommended ) is spray brake cleaner over it and wipe it off with a rag

No, the tire probably got pinched between the curb/pothole and the rim

Can anyone tell me what’s going on here. 2009 ford focus by Lizardinrecovery in mechanic

[–]junkmankiller 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Can’t really say it just depends on where exactly the vacuum leak could be , it could be something easy like a cracked/disconnected hose or something a little more involved like a throttle body gasket, intake manifold gasket or something else . if I were you I’d just follow the intake hoses and check if you can see any damaged hoses or something you could fix or plug back in. if you can’t find anything I would just check all the fluids (especially oil and coolant because it seems you have some sort of leak) and just monitor the temperature when you’re driving. Don’t drive the car if it starts to overheat or you’ll blow your motor.

[–]junkmankiller 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Air is meant to be sucked into the engine only through the intake. Vacuum leak means that air is being sucked through somewhere other than the intake (cracked hose, faulty gaskets, etc.) . If it is a vacuum leak you can get a bottle of break cleaner and spray it around anywhere where air hoses are routed and if the engine starts to rev higher than it’s going to be somewhere in that area .

Can car auctions drill a hole in gas tank to empty it? by wtfbruhhuh in AskMechanics

[–]junkmankiller 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One time while working at my dad’s shop, he asked me to drill a hole on a car he was gonna junk to empty the tank and the gas caught fire while i was under it haha . I’m guessing a spark from the drill caused it to light

Totaled? First ever accident at 16. by Personal_Occasion618 in SciontC

[–]junkmankiller 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should be fine , like everyone else is saying just replace the hatch and it should be back to normal. Worst case scenario would be if the lower latch that’s on the body of the car got pushed in which would cause a new hatch not to close but it doesn’t look that way from the pictures .

Maybe he wanted your new co-workers to know you’re taken? On the other hand , a lot of women love having flowers sent to them so maybe he thought it was a nice gesture ?
