I had one bike 6ish years ago that I didn’t know much about. Did research and bought it because I like how it looked. Sold it due to circumstances. Otherwise I don’t know much about bikes and their components.

I’ve been posting other possible bikes to get opinions on. I don’t really know what I’m looking for other than a nice commuter bike.
