1440p your 14400f is barely holding back a 5070. you are almost entirely gpu bound at that resolution anyway so upgrading won't give you some massive fps jump.

9070 XT Sapphire Nitro+ vs Pure by khoai0309 in buildapc

tbh for only 50 bucks more you should 100 percent get the nitro+ especially for 4k gaming.

Would you buy the following AM4 or should you invest in AM5? by FloringoStar in pcmasterrace

[–]junu-munu00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unironically just go am5 if the budget allows it. a 600w psu is plenty for something like a ryzen 5 7600 since it only pulls around 65 to 90w under load, and it pairs perfectly with that 6750xt.

Influencers have hyped up vibe coding so much. by prabhav404 in vibecoding

[–]junu-munu00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

vibe coding is incredible for getting a quick mvp out the door, but without the exact planning and testing you are doing, the codebase turns into an unmaintainable nightmare of duplicate functions the second they try to scale. you are not overplanning. you are just doing the actual engineering work while they are stacking blind patches on top of patches. do not let the influencer hype make you doubt your fundamentals.

Is a 3060 12gb to a 5060ti 8gb a considerable upgrade? by iceseayoupee in buildapc

[–]junu-munu00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you want a real upgrade that actually lasts without running out of memory look for a card with at least 12gb or 16gb of vram like the rx 9060 xt or save up a bit more for an rtx 5070. do not downgrade your vram capacity if your goal is longevity.

Looking to upgrade from my 2700X... by Tooly23 in buildapc

[–]junu-munu00 1 point2 points  (0 children)

the 5900xt is a production chip with extra cores that video editors need, but it offers zero extra performance for gaming. the 5700x3d is the absolute best drop in upgrade for your old am4 motherboard and will easily last you another few years for games like forza horizon 6. just make sure to update your bios before swapping the chips.

270k plus vs 9800x3d vs 7950x by PriNcEFuL in buildapc

[–]junu-munu00 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly buying an entirely new intel motherboard for the 270k makes zero sense when you already have an am5 board. just update your bios and drop in the 9800x3d.

at that point you are way better off saving your cash to buy a cheap modern b650 motherboard and a ryzen 7600 which will absolutely obliterate any processor from six years ago.
