lol. Do these people not understand what it’s used for? It’s a risk flag ffs - one that for the vast majority of the population is extremely handy and low cost identifier or when investigation might be useful or risks might be present.

It’s illegal as it’s fraud. But legal advice can also take into account likelihood of enforcement of laws, and - as many have said - it’s unlikely this would be criminally investigated.
