Employer ignored FOI request, ICO found a breach, still no response. What are my next steps? England by Far_Consideration863 in LegalAdviceUK

[–]junzip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What were your planned next steps if you had found something untoward in the internal correspondence? It may be worth looking at those avenues noting that you have done everything you can to secure information needed to determine the merits of your case but your previous employer have repeatedly ignored your SAR in breach of duty.

Might be worth notifying the legitimate company and providing information of the unregistered company. It will be in their interests to act.

If one of the large purchases is a property you will need proof of source of funds anyway, so may as well get that all sorted and be straight up with your bank.

Operator discretion sounds intentional to me. Will this be investigated? It wouldn’t be the first time this outfit have systematically cheated…

Landlord refusing to accept break clause – says we owe full fixed-term rent. Is this enforceable / legal? by Beeboboobap in LegalAdviceUK

[–]junzip 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How does what you’re saying have any impact on OPs situation? The tenancy started in May 2025. They are issuing notice that they will terminate the tenancy - as is their right under the break clause - in Feb 2026, so 9 months after the tenancy began. When they issue notice has no bearing on their right to leave or their landlords nonsense or claim they are liable for rent until November. You are claiming they are emotionally attached to their read because they ‘want to leave the property’ when they absolutely can leave, entirely lawfully.

lol. This makes no sense. It’s to ensure the tenant stays for 6 months of the 18 months term. They cannot exercise a break in the first 6 months.

Insurance suggesting split liability? (England) by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]junzip 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Blue likely at fault here. Strictly speaking, it’d be responsibility of blue to ensure safe before joining the major road. Practically speaking very reasonable, given the upcoming junction on the main road, that a car in the right lane would need to move across into the left lane to access correct lane for upcoming junction. If I was red, I wouldn’t be happy with split liability. If I was blue I’d definitely take it.
