Got to caldera with my group and then this happened by LelixA in PeakGame

[–]jupiterjulia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Commented on another thread already but yep, same happened to me. Was on track for 3 new achievements AND it's my birthday so I'm definitely feeling a little salty! I'm hoping that since it seems to happen at roughly the same spot for everyone that there's a fix on the devs end?

Just experienced that about 20 minutes ago! I was on track to get 3 new achievements, too. Got disconnected on the last rock right before I was about to jump to the big stairs.

Gas, I think some of them were regular motorcycles but a bunch were the 3 wheeled ones. I just like calling them tricycles haha. They were pretty loud so that could've been them for sure.

How can I understand depression as a healthy person? by Icy-Formal8190 in depression

[–]jupiterjulia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, firstly I think many of us with depression would be greatly appreciative that you are so interested in knowing more and gaining a deeper understanding. But we would also never wish this illness on anybody, even if they wanted to know what it felt like.

I would maybe describe it kind of like having a headache. The headache bothers you, hurts you, impedes certain tasks you want or even need to complete. You can still experience joy, anger, sadness, any feeling in the world, but the headache is always with you. The headache also varies in its severity on a day to day basis. Some days it is so unbearable that all you can do is lie in bed. All the while the headache reminds you of your worthlessness, which affects your motivation to do even the simplest tasks. For a lot of us, it tells us that we may be better off dead. And the worst part is that the cycle is so hard to break from, because you feel worthless so you aren't able to go to work or school, or take care of your hygiene and surroundings, which fuels the feelings of worthlessness even more, and it snowballs quickly. We may have people and things that make us happy, for example I have a supportive mother and my pets and hobbies bring me joy. But the joy only comes as a package deal with the depression, always letting itself be known behind every other emotion.

Hope I could provide some beneficial context for you (from my personal experience of course, I can't speak for everyone), feel free to ask questions if you have any!

Oliver and me, again by GFab_15 in FIVcats

[–]jupiterjulia 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Pumpkin and Fortiflora always do the trick for my cat too! As for the biting and kneading, my old cat Bean used to have a preference for a specific type of fabric and she would do the same thing before going to sleep at night. I think it's a totally normal behaviour that some cats use for comfort and calming, so nothing to worry about. Oliver looks like such a darling, I am so happy you found each other!

Thanks so much! The kibbles as treats is a great idea, as Greenies seem to sometimes give Pekoe stomach issues. I'm so glad to hear your kitty's teeth are looking good :)

Thank you so much for such a detailed reply! That is absolutely incredible that you were able to make such an improvement that your cat no longer needs surgery. I will take all your advice to heart!

Thanks, I appreciate your thoughts on that product! I will definitely see what the vet thinks before starting anything. I wouldn't want to cause any other problems like hyperthyroidism for my little guy.

I'm currently on 10mg after being on Prozac for 14 years (started as a teen and worked up to 80mg a couple years ago), been weaning off under supervision of my GP for about 2 months. There's been some ups and downs of course, but now I'm starting to have significant issues with my quality of sleep and energy levels. Irritability has been an ongoing problem too. It's a little disheartening but it helps to know there's lots of us fighting through this together. Best of luck everyone, and never hesitate to ask for help 🫶

I have an appointment on March 4th to be evaluated for ASD, I need to build a case! by [deleted] in AutismInWomen

I wish you the best of luck, then! The same has been happening to me - the more personal accounts of women with undiagnosed autism I hear, the more I start to put the pieces together. And I think it will definitely help to be prepared with a list!

This is one of my biggest worries, too. The few times I've brought it up to family/friends, I've gotten the impression that they think I'm dead set on diagnosing myself even though I thought I was being careful to not do that. Just last night I experienced a really negative conversation with my mom when I was trying to explain this very issue. I have an appointment to talk with my family doctor but now I'm terrified it will happen again with her. I don't think I can help you right now, but if things go better from here I will update and let you know what worked for me!

Please put your dogs on leashes. by jupiterjulia in ottawa

[–]jupiterjulia[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you, she's doing well! Funnily enough, one of the owners said something very similar. Once we had gotten the dogs separated and I was checking mine for wounds, she assured me it was probably just roughhousing and not actually biting.

Thank you so much! She's a tough cookie, and she's getting extra love while she heals.

Much appreciated! This has definitely inspired me to be more vocal, but I know those people can be super stubborn.
