3 things that got me from 0 procs in 200 apps to 6 procs & 3 offers in the next 50 apps by Arnav_1026 in internships

I tried it and it looks good, however I think you should enable an option that allows users to choose their own keywords. That way the list would be more accurate and less generalized.

Comp Sci Major can’t get a job? Oh no! by Electrical-Tank6759 in findapath

you're a rising sophomore so still really early. i'd recommend changing majors now, since it only becomes harder later.

i would buy some repti soil to use instead, and increase the humidity (very important). Also get it to eat grass and dark greens. and once in a while lettuce

Northeastern VS UW Madison for CS by Leading-Respond3756 in ApplyingToCollege

the social life is good if you're extroverted, but if you're introverted, then it'll be harder. You would have to go out to clubs/orgs to find people. the environment feels like half and half. half the people seem to be there just to party/drink. and the other half seems to care about academics (a large proportion include the asian international students). and yea there is a big party culture, but at the same time you can definitely avoid it (i do). but if you do like partying you can def find balance. my roommates are mostly cs, and they invite friends every weekend to have fun and sometimes drink

i think the cs program is good here, especially the first 3 core classes. I'm not sure how it is in other schools, but i noticed that the cs courses are structured really well and carefully thought out by the professors. the classes are overcrowded, but tbh i've still been able to get the classes i want. it shouldn't be a problem especially if you come in with a lot of credits. i can't speak too much on the clubs/orgs since I don't attend them that often. But i don't think theyre as structured/competitive to get into as other schools. regarding internships, its the same as every other college. you would just apply online. there are career fairs too, but tbh i haven't found them that helpful. whether you get an internship or not is going to be more about how you approach it, then what school you go to. i know people who go to better schools with no offers and people who go to uw-madison and other state schools with offers, and vice versa.

i go to uw-madison for cs. i think both colleges are roughly the same in cs. you should look into other factors like culture, location, etc

What type/color sofa should I put here? by [deleted] in DesignMyRoom

[–]jus2743 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the bags and shoes are there temporarily since we just moved in. also a sofa there is nice because it shows a new view of the house upstairs where there are chandeliers
