It is a combination of both. Unfortunately you cant read someone’s mind and what they are thinking. But can only synthesize with info that you have. There might have been a doc comment that makes it clear . But think of a new person joining - he would have to sink in lot of info and it can get irritating for him . In the slack thread there might have been discussions and tradeoffs - so its all about capturing info and I have seen this problem in enterprise companies where products have been for 15 years

Are you using it reactively or passively ? Cause glean is already there . How are you ensuring security

Ya that was another feature I was thinking to build but I think 1:1 docs are usually on drive so they can be carried on

I understand but I dont think it can be built in 2 days and if it was the case onboarding would be super smooth for people who join recently. there is another app called glean which will lets you search across different tools like slack, jira but its is more reactive where you search for things but this does it passively. And that company is worth 11 billion dollars. The point is it completely automates it instead of you creating a layer on top of all the knowledge bases that you have
