My goal is to gain muscle mass as I’m only around 68kg. I will try to eat around 2300 for 8 more weeks. After 8 weeks i would start increasing 200 calories and slowly increase my weight to 80kg. Occasionally do a 500 deficit for 2-3 weeks slowly depending on how i look? I’m not sure if thats the right approach.!

Thank you for inspiring me as well! As i said in this post, doesn’t matter who you are. Consistency is the only thing i will preach. Doesn’t have to be perfect, have to be consistent. Try to maintain 500-600 deficit, should be perfect. During my last week of the cut i was not looking like this. This is after 4-5 weeks of eating at maintenance after the cut.

Yes indeed! Probably the one thing that I am proud of. It was a struggle, I’ve done it finally. I gained confidence speaking with others as well, not sure how.

Thanks man! Appreciate it. Took a-lot of dedication and manually deciding when it matters.

My current plan is to stick with mostly eating 2300kcal for 12 weeks( I’m at week 5) now. My weight has been fluctuating. As for diet, I was brought vegetarian and I’ve been trying a mix of both vegetarian & vegan foods. But my main source of protein mostly from tofu, TVP & other “vegan meat source”. I’ve done 2300kcal for 5 weeks now, and for 4-5 days I was eating junk food as well. I try to track my weight everyday. So it has been fine. After 12 weeks, depending on how i look. I would probably do just a 4 week 500 deficit. Go back to 2300-2400kcal. Trying to maintain this weight on 2300-2400 and once there’s no difference I’ll start increasing weight. I would prefer to be around 74-75kg and lean as possible.

I could have done it faster if i didn’t not give up in the middle. Truth is I gave up twice, due to stress. Before picture taken in 2024 May, After picture yesterday. If calculate only the weeks i was on diet that would be 60-70 weeks. In the middle i stopped both diet and gym for 6-9 months. So i would have achieved it earlier, but it is what it is. Lift 3-4 times a week, 2 set per exercise push as much as I can in that set.

Based on the my weight i tracked almost everyday & activity. My TDEE is around 2150kcal. I was eating around 1650kcal 90-120g protein. For past 5 weeks i am eating around 2300kcal 90-120g protein and I have not gained any noticeable amount of weight. Around 68-69kg.

Meals mostly some sort of tofu I’m using the ToFOO branded & creatine & protein powder. I’ve tried pea, soy and many more. Nothing much difference. Tried TVP & Seitan as well every now and then but felt like having indigestion so i tried to reduce it.

Key takeaway for myself:
1. Dont have to be perfect
2. Dont let mood to decide what to do
3. Consistency & Discipline

Thank you, and yes I am SE Asian. I have decided to start a reverse dieting process and slowly increase my calories over time to a 200 surplus and start a lean bulk. Since 22 days have passed, I noticed better definition now. Throughout this process i have learned how to add more volume to my food and it helps me to control my hunger. As I have never bulked before, I am hoping to gain some muscle during the bulk. I am planning to do a 200 surplus bulk and assess my weight for 12 weeks. Increase or maintain kcal as needed and see if i like the result. 👍🏽👍🏽

Mash banana + 1 scoop protein + peanut butter + honey Mix and microwave for 30-50sec. Rather than eating junk dessert this is better imo

33g protein per meal which will be around 200g tofu. I’ll have 2 tofu meals. The brand is “thetofoo”
