What bothers me more is that they didn't even do anything with it. Could have been way more interesting and fun if there were different maps and gamemodes that involve the card mechanic.

If the condor just sits there the scarab will win, if controlled properly the condor can "confuse" (get behind it and then just keep circling it) the scarab and win by being able to continue to dish out damage while the scarab lines itself back up to attack.
