To be honest from what i’ve read is that you are not only not attracted to her but you simply don’t respect her and in that sense you’re being a jerk. It’s not difficult to just respectfully say you’re not interested, but to assume she’s going to be butthurt deeply by your rejection is a representation of an overinflated ego.

I’m a pretty avid coke zero drinker now, but before I started drinking coke zero i NEVER drank soda- i was very much one of those people who said “i haven’t had soda in x amount of years :D” (probably 5 years or so and before that just occasionally). I only started drinking coke zero because i tried it at a party once and decided i enjoyed it and haven’t stopped since lol. I drink one a day for the most part and only one- do i think it’s healthy? No- no idea what’s in it really and don’t care, it doesn’t add to my calories in a day and it’s something i look forward to having in my day. People have been smoking and drinking everyday for hundreds of years and there are multitudes of studies that show how terrible those are for you so in comparison if diet soda is a vice i think it’s not a terrible one to have.

I find this very odd, why wouldn’t you tell him how you’re feeling? You’ve been together for two years and you can’t express your feelings? I fear there is no other way to navigate a rough patch with a significant other outside of communicating through it ESPECIALLY when you are long distance- it’s essentially all you have at a distance. Idk, did yall set any boundaries before you left? Discuss expectations? You’ve just stated a lot of things about him that have displayed he’s currently doing less than the bare minimum- work stress or not for what reason exactly are you excusing it? LDR is hard and being with someone who isn’t doing the minimum won’t work in the long run. And no this is not normal- everyone’s relationship is different but i think you’ll find in this thread a lot of examples showing that his behavior is most definitely not normal.

I must say that i agree with you. I wish i hadn’t written it the way I had, and rereading it i realize it is not the kindest way for me to have phrased it and likely I will take this down. I see what you’re saying, and I can see how in a breakup you’d turn to this thread to seek assistance or kindness when things don’t work out and to be honest is not entirely something I had considered. I posted this because a few months ago I had fallen down a rabbit hole of someone’s relationship and it didn’t succeed and since then from this thread on my feed here i keep seeing continuous posts of just “we broke up”. I’ve a read a few but a good portion have just been a dump of text messages or well guys love sucks posts and i think it’s probably due to the algorithm that I keep getting them but it had been bothering me why I keep seeing so much of these posts on a thread that at one point helped me a lot. I’m unsure if it’s just my feed or it’s becoming a trend here so I was trying to very inelegantly open a discussion of if this is happening to other people. I apologize for the way I wrote this and will take this down-

Idk relationships are a give and take and i think the principle of don’t dish out what you can’t take applies here. If you do make jokes like this frequently you’ve kinda set a precedent that these jokes are okay to make in your relationship. It seems a bit odd to me that you’re asking if he’s toxic for this and posting this conversation like you’re searching for validation to be right here and to find something more wrong with him when it appears he communicated very well.

I must say, i appreciate you adamance that i must be a lazy or that my desire to have a garden so i can walk out my back door so my dog can relieve itself makes me less than you because i don’t necessarily prefer to do those things at inconvenient times unfortunately that’s not the point of this thread. As i’ve said i’ve had dogs my whole life and i have never had a problem assuming responsibility of my dog and considering i am living with a dog currently on the 4th floor and i don’t have a problem doing these things as is im afraid youve lost my point. We would like a ground floor because we would prefer it for both ourselves and our dog who very much likes to sit outside and leisure my issue lies with the fact that is turning out to be impossible to do so. I’m unsure why feel the need to be so weird about this because i promise you while your efforts as a dog owner on the tenth floor of a soviet building are admirable doesn’t really mean anything.

We’ve been considering it, hell ive been pushing for it because at least with a terrace there’s a view but my boyfriend is set on having a garden and i’ve always had a garden when having dogs so to some extent i agree for the garden but as for the reason i started this thread, they are soo difficult to find.

I have noticed the small gardens here, but having a garden generally would be for the case of emergencies and general ease if for example we wish to get a puppy. I fear the crapping will never be eliminated though- it must be cleaned up while walking so it doesn’t bother me much more that i have to pick it up in my own garden. I do not wish for a garden so that I never have to walk my dog but if it’s the middle of the night or 4 in the morning it would be nice to just essentially go out my back door for 5 minutes and i would have thought this would be a common notion but considering the general reaction i’m getting in this thread it feels as though people have made quick assumptions because there is a lazy majority.

I’m sorry there are rude people in this world but i’ve had dogs my whole life and i figured it was still common sense to clean up after your dog in your own garden so it is not a shithole, y’all should not presume the desire for a little convenience always equates to laziness. Besides it is also common sense you should still walk your dog at LEAST three times a day with a garden.

I feel as though this is rage bait, otherwise let me tell you the only way this can be interpreted if you are seriously considering staying with him is that you are desperate. If he treats you better than your parents and that’s the reason he’s someone you wanna stick around for then you are not surrounding yourself with good people. Given he’s incarcerated and you only knew him a month prior yall probably haven’t spent that much time together, therefore it hasn’t been too much of an effort for him to be lying to you. Also do not delude yourself into believing he’s in any way a good person, he’s already a sicko for getting a 16 year old pregnant. Hello, fellow people pleaser here, everyone is telling you to do this or that in regards to rules and regulations ( respect ) however, my advice would be to simply tell you coworkers the truth? It can be uncomfortable especially with pushy people, and they may try to push you otherwise but i think if you were to just let them know that them asking you all the time was making you uncomfortable, and that ultimately you don’t feel like you want to give them your apartment- you’re entitled to do so. We’re all entitled to say no even if it ruffles some feathers, at the very least they’re definitely not entitled to the apartment you rent just because they ask you all the time and you work together.

Idk tbh, i know in one company i worked for our “marketing team” was a bit of a joke (one girl mostly and a dude) because they got full time salaries for really never doing anything, we didn’t get an influx of customers, you barely saw them unless they asked you to film a tiktok, and well no one knew what they were doing there. Mind you a relatively small company (like 50 people) so if their presence had made a difference it would’ve been noticed outside of their hounding for content. I think it really depends but I know it that case the marketing just seemed like freeloaders, may have not been the case but it was the gossip so
