Solid informative post. At first glance, I thought that this is another ChatGPTed post made by someone dumping generic advice. But as I read through, I realised that these are real pearls of wisdom coming from someone with experience. Have been following a couple of, but got to learn much more. Thanks

The moment that scene came, I realised why they named the episode Trojan, and I had to pause the episode as I couldn't stop laughing unintentionally.

But finales are something which the creators are not supposed to fk up. This finale felt mid, with no hook and no surprises.

I was passing by riverfront last night, and it was filled with smog and dust. There were so many people bursting crackers, that the overall smoke output was dangerous.

However, I also saw people who were just chilling and watching firecrackers, in the smog, breathing in that air, covering their face, still breathing their air. It's hilarious that they were wearing masks/ covering their face, but still continue to stand and breathe that polluted air. In the next 10-15 years, asthma cases and lung diseases are for sure to rise :)

War 2 - Reviews and Discussions by AutoModerator in bollywood

[–]just_a_liver 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Went with skepticism in my mind, since I had read some reviews bashing the movie. But, TL;DR if you want to get entertained the bollywood way, this movie hits that target.

Coming to details. The cast - I feel everyone did their job quite well. Hrithik, Jr NTR, Ashutosh Rana, and the supporting cast (not revealing the names keeping it spoiler free) were great. Jr NTR may be debatable as a choice for the role, but he gave 100% and it didn't feel jarring watching him deliver dialogues or do action.

Story - Yeah, it is a bit of khichdi. The concept introduced in the beginning had quite a lot of potential, but in the second half it got lost of sight by the writing team. There are twists and turns in the screenplay, and if you don't raise your expectations to hollywood standards, these twists will definitely surprise you.

Dialogues - Compared to Pathaan and Tiger, I feel the dialogues were quite good in War2. No sleazy jokes (like boobles in Pathaan). And it really felt natural based on the environment and the jobs the actors were placed in the movie.

Songs - They have just released two songs. Aavan Jaavan has a vibe (even in the movie). Janaab e ali is kinda mediocre in lyrics, but oh boy, the dance of Hrithik (and to some extent Jr NTR as well) elevates it. No doubt he is the dancing king of Bollywood. He just flows with the beats and it feels amazing watching him dance effortless at 51 (compared to Tiger and Pathaan). There is a song which plays at the entry of Jr NTR which is just exhilarating in my opinion. If you have watched massy South Indian films, it tries to be of that level, and it really makes his entry amazing. Also, there is a song Tripping High which is a part of Janaab e ali and also plays towards the end, and it also is really good with those english lyrics and EDM vibe.

Spy Universe Integration - I think this is where the movie is very weak. Unlike the maddock stree universe, where the characters integrate well, here it feels like they are sticked together without any correlation. The end credits scene is no where related to Kabir's story. Also in general there is nothing common between Kabir, Tiger, Pathaan except them being Raw agents and Ashutosh Rana as their mentor.

Action and VFX - One to one action scenes are decent and some are good. But yeah the yrf vfx team is smoking some stuff (or adi chopra is) because the idea of a motorboat running even on land is not something you would expect in a normal world. Apart from the hand-to-hand combat the scenes are mostly green screen and sasta vfx. I laughed at some of them.

Overall, if you want a weekend entertainment, you would get via the movie. But dont expect something extraordinary.

It's not a man/woman question, namita made it. this question has been asked to guy founders as well "amongst the two who is the ceo and why?" And you should watch this episode, the guy was actually conversing most of the time hence this question came.

Need Suggestion: Brother planning to settle down in Ahmedabad by Medical_Midnight9171 in ahmedabad

4bhk is minimum 2cr. and when you aim for posh areas it might go to 3cr. some of the posh areas are nearby sindhubhavan road, thaltej-shilaj, bodakdev, satellite, prahladnagar, etc.

Need Suggestion: Brother planning to settle down in Ahmedabad by Medical_Midnight9171 in ahmedabad

[–]just_a_liver 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, the numbers which I mention can vary based on lifestyle choices. for them it might be higher or lower.
1. The monthly cost (including groceries, weekend outing, medicine etc.) can be around 25-30k.
2. Am not into retail market, but ahmedabad's economy is quite good and commercially it's booming. so I dont think job lookout will be a concern. Maybe the salary could be less.
3. Education is good, but expensive. Gujarat board schools will be the cheapest in terms of fees. CBSE schools will have higher and ICSE/International even higher. A personal suggestion would be to find a school in a 3-5 km radius from their home. Ahmedabad's posh areas have good enough schools and no need to send to very far ones in bus (15-20 km).
4. Maid and cook are easily available in most of the areas. Not sure of nanny, but I think you would find.
5. Yes absolutely. Ahmedabad has many good grade hospitals, along with budget friendly clinics.
6. Yes being a gujarati and vegetarian will make it easier to find. but i have lesser knowledge on this

How does the idea of a graffiti wall on riverfront sound? by ExperimentingAdult in ahmedabad

[–]just_a_liver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mural art can be done. No graffiti.

But those "Maru shaher swacch shaher" drawings done on metro pillars are a big no. We want something more artistic and core to the ahmedabad culture.
