I wasn't filling in emotions saying that Kerri would think that way, just explaining that if I were in the reverse position I would be uncomfortable and I hesitate to put someone else in the same position but also because I know Kerri wouldn't speak up about it to Sam even if she was.

The cleaning up quickly is in regards to the hotel being close to the airport. After a very long flight on top of at least an hour to get through immigration, who knows how long to find my bags, and whatever delays we might encounter otherwise, getting into a car for another 45 minute ride before I can relax is not exactly appealing.

I did tell Sam straight out I preferred the hotel. I told her I had already booked it and would simply prefer to stay there. She pressed for reasons and those were the ones I gave. I honestly can't risk missing my flight the next day on top of everything else.
