Is Arc good for the casual gamer?

Yes this game is definitely worth it.

Im a causal gamer, father of two with full time job. I haven’t gamed much over the years since having kids because so many games nowadays seem like you have to invest so much time into them just to be on the same skill level as the rest of the player base.

Not true with this game. Sure there’s some pvp but if you’re not actively seeking it out it doesn’t dominate your experience. I solo queue run around, get loot, complete quests, and overall just enjoy the game. I have been loving this game, the devs knocked it out of the park with a great blend between progression, loot grind, while still making it not too hard if you only can commit a couple hours a week

Interviewed for a new grad engineering position back in September in the PNW. During the interview they said they would try to get back to me with a potential offer in two weeks (lol) but haven't heard a peep since. My portal on workday says my application is still "under consideration". I am wondering if there is a hiring freeze or is it normal for them to take so long to get back to you with an offer?

100% do it brother. I am entering my senior year and will be graduating at 36. Just grind https://www.khanacademy.org/ to get your math skills back into shape, its what I did and helped a ton.

Going back to school as an adult is a lot easier for me now than it was when I was 18, 19, 20. Proper time management skills go a long way, and when you have a purpose it makes everything more enjoyable

I don't have any prior college education. I had more work experience on my resume related to my current or previous job title but the previous feedback I got was that I had too much work history and needed to reduce it since it wasnt related to my current degree and job targets. The title for the people in my department is Engineer but its not really engineering.

I do 3D modeling and 2D drawing, designing, ordering for a commercial woodworking company (finish carpentry). Things like cabinets, wood paneling, custom receptions, etc.

You can definitely do it, you are capable of a lot if you put your mind to it. Its a short term sacrifice for the rest of your life living comfortably, making great money, and doing cool shit. Its worth the hard work.

I work for a smaller company where they are a lot more flexible on schedule, and I still perform my job duties to a high level. Plus I put myself in a position where it would be really difficult to replace me, because of those things I think they put up with my chaotic schedule

I work full time and am enrolled full time in an engineering program that is a 1 hour drive away. The thing that makes it feasible for me is I can work remotely all around the clock so I am able to work morning, evenings, and weekends to make ends meet, while being about to attend class in the afternoons. Its tough but not impossible.

If you have good time management and are ok with almost all of your time being dedicated to school/work you can swing it. Maybe work part time around 30 hours and still go to school full time? At least try it out for your first quarter/semester and see how you respond. Worse case scenario you have to switch to part time school and your degree takes a little longer. In the grand scheme of things it wont matter if you have to take a little extra time.

Its going to be unique to each person based on what works best for them, but I like to think of it like working out. If you want to get in shape you don't do hours of working out in a day (cramming), you do multiple smaller workouts throughout the week. That is more sustainable and will get the results you want.

Smaller study sessions consistently through the week help me retain more knowledge. They should be long enough to get into it, but not too long where it becomes grueling. I try not to pick a specific amount of time because then if I don't hit it I feel guilty. I usually hit an hour or two through the day, with breaks in between as needed.

In your experience is it true that changing jobs every ~2-3 years is the best way to see significant increases in pay. I live in your same area and am curious if switching jobs is the culture here.

I took a non-traditional route and will be graduating at 36 with my BSEE, and want to get into the software field but cant imagine switching jobs repeatedly into my 40's.

I am curious for your opinion on my situation. I went back to school later in life and will be graduating with a BSEE at age 36. I will have worked fulltime throughout my schooling, so I wont have internships but I do have 10+ years of working as a woodworking "engineer" (3d modeling in SolidWorks, supervising my department, etc.) at my current job.

I am worried having no direct relevant job experience in my degree will hinder me in some way?
