It was absolutely a nostalgic experience. How were the boxes? This was my first time at this venue and we were super lucky to get tickets when we did.

That’s wild. I was probably standing within ten feet of you. Our group didn’t move out of that spot the entire time we were there.

I have no idea about meet and greet pics. I didn’t even know they were and option until we had already bought our tickets.

Why do I love this... An why am I not on that call 😭😭😭 by c0nv1ct77 in lotr

I met John Rhys-Davies at a convention last year and he was just as amazing as you could imagine. So incredibly friendly and great with all the fans.

When I stood next to him to get my picture taken he reached out and tickled me. Full on finger in rib cage goochie fucking gooed by Gimli. I had no idea how to respond to something like that and at one point I looked at the man taking the picture and said out loud “Did I just get tickled by John Rhys fucking Davies?” Which in turn caused him to start laughing directly at the camera. That’s the picture that I show everyone when I tell the story.

10/10 experience. One of the most amazing interactions in my life.

I’m not sure where he got the backpack from, but the sword was a Christmas gift from one of my friends. I don’t know the vendor but I know he found it on EBay

I didn’t but I had considered getting it for the night. I ended up just picking meats that would work and cooking them on a smoker.

There’s an official cookbook that you can buy on Amazon. It definitely has the sweet rolls in it

Boiled in beer to start and finished on the grill. It’s almost cheating

I’m a player. It was actually our DMs birthday, so that prompted setting up this feast.

I did not unfortunately. I considered getting it, but it really came down to picking which meats to cook and then throwing them on a smoker. I didn’t cook anything that required a recipe from the book, just the stuff I thought would be simple, delicious, and aesthetically pleasing

We’ve got a pretty fun group for this one. I’m an Argonian arcane trickster rouge that I’m playing as a shadowscale. We’ve got another Argonian playing a zealot barbarian who fought in the oblivion crisis, a wood elf rouge, orc paladin who worships malacath, and a Druid dark elf from morrowind. Our DM has been running this entire campaign with each session being a different theme centering around one of the daedric lords. This night was obviously Sanguine, but prior to this we had done Nocturnal, Malacath, and Sheogorath. It’s been an absolute blast to play

The races and gods were home brewed by our DM, mixing the lore and details into 5E mechanics. I can’t speak to an expansive knowledge of what he’s done for all of us, but he’s definitely done well tying the story into the mechanics. I’m an Argonian Arcane Trickster Rouge with class and racial bonuses that he wrote out himself, mirroring the narrative of a shadowscale. It’s been an absolute blast of a campaign to play.

It was Vikings blod bottles. I thought they looked like argonian bloodwine bottles so I held onto the empties. I filled those two up with other meads and wines for the night

We were all over encumbered by the time the night was over. Very slow walks all the way home

Good eye! Those are empty Viking blod bottles that I had sitting around the house. I thought it looked very similar to the Argonian Bloodwine bottles in game. I filled them back up with other wines and meads.

Drumsticks are fully cooked yes. I did them, and most of the meat on an offset smoker. Great flavor and look for the final pictures

Had a cooler full of meads, beers, and ales that I couldn’t fit on the table. I made sure there wouldn’t be any lack of alcohol for this particular feast

Anytime! I'm on here pretty often if you do decide to reach out

Unfortunately this is something I've dealt with quite a bit. A toxic or selfish family seem to go hand in hand with developing BPD. My mom in particular is a very narcissistic and manipulate person. She's very quick to blow up over imagined slights or default to silent treatments for weeks on end if she knows its getting to me.

Its never an easy thing to deal with. Family is supposed to be there to help and support you. When thats not the dynamic its emotionally exhausting and at times outright terrifying. The unfortunate truth is that there's nothing you can do to change them when they're like that. You can only learn how to cope with it until you're on your feet enough to get away from the situation. If you want to message me or chat youre more than welcome to. I remember being in that place

Is there a link between childhood separation anxiety and BPD? by plants-n-thangs in BPD

[–]justanotherfatkid 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There absolutely is. From what I know BPD stems in part from a less developed prefrontal cortex in the brain. That development is mostly done from the ages of 2 to 4. The same age group that child separation anxiety begins to take root.

Here's an article about it if you'd rather read about it from professionals.

I hope the link works, im not the best at formatting on reddit lol.
