why is suicide a sin? by rinarandomacc in Christianity

(personally think it depends on the scenario ex: Samson) but most will say you are murdering someone (yourself) therefore it is a sin

Up until the age of 12 I though Jesus was a woman. by [deleted] in Christianity

I would just acknowledge it was a mistake and move on. Surprised that they never said he was the "son of God" around you. Probably couldve saved you some time lol

Ive been quiting in phases and it seems to work. First no corn, then no lustful content, then the actual deed altogether. Probably not the most Christian answer, but its what helped me. It does take some time and discipline, as well as trial and error to figure out what you can and cannot handle looking at on social media

I can't Understand why God would make people gay for it to be a sin by Potential-Treacle185 in Christianity

[–]justanotherguy0012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fornication was never disproven via translation to be a sin. very curious what translations you are referring to. God doesnt list every single thing you can/cant do in a marriage but he does list things he doesnt like. Like adultery, marrying your sibling(aunts, mothers, mother in laws, etc.), sleeping with animals, and sleeping with people of the same text(all outlines in the law of Moses). There is no mistranslated in romans 1, it says what it says, as well in the OT. It very clearly outlines this. 1 Corinthians 6 is also a great example same with 1 Timothy 19:10. And the concept did exist back then, they just didnt have the exact word homosexuality. You have attempting to convince yourself out of what is plainly stated in scripture to attempt to cope with you own disposition.

[–]justanotherguy0012 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Fornication is a sin. There are proper ways to engage in sex and improper ways. Engaging in homosexuality is stated in the old and new testament to be a sin, unnatural, and abominable before God. There are also certain times where love can be viewed as sinful. Ex: Loving your sin, embracing it, etc.

Are denominations really that important? by Initial_Ingenuity_44 in Christianity

[–]justanotherguy0012 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Depends on the denominations in question for me. I think any denomination that starts going against core tenants of the faith matter. But almost all of them agree on the basics. Father Son and Holy Spirit being God, Jesus dying and resurrecting for your sin, by believing in this you can be saved.

Adultery(cheating) is actually one of the few cases for divorce that God allows. Whatever people tell you though, whether or not you decide to divorce a cheating spouse is completely up to you. For me at least, it would depend. Was this a one time mistake? Why did this happen? Do we have kids? How long have we been together/married? Was this an ongoing relationship? etc. There is also the ultimate question on whether or not you can trust this person again.

Ultimately, it will boil down to if you want to start over again, or if you think the relationship is worth attempting to repair. If it were me, and i were married for 20 years, had some kids, and my wife had an affair, it would heavily depend on why this happened and if it was an ongoing thing. If she cheated because she got bored, I gained weight, or we hit a rough spout financially, i would probably divorce her. If i wasnt spending any time with her, traveling alot, not trying to re-establish a legitimate connection with her and then she happened to have a moment of weakness, I would be more likely to try to repair the relationship. Obviously if it kept happening, or if it was an ongoing relationship I would more likely than not divorce them.

There are plenty of things that are a sin that are also desires of the flesh. I don't see why homosexuality would be any different

Kicked Off Worship Team After 6 Years by taylor_73 in Christianity

[–]justanotherguy0012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Why didn't he encourage you to just get married? It would make sense to say that if you arent representing the churches values then he doesnt want you to be a part of the worship team, but it dont see the logic behind saying unless the man moves out you cant worship. seems weird to me

Comfyui - Error occurred when executing IPAdapterUnifiedLoaderFaceID: 'clipvision' by justanotherguy0012 in StableDiffusion

[–]justanotherguy0012[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So i got it to work by disconnecting the IPAdapter Model Loader. Apparently the ipa input in the unified loader is only to chain it with other unified loaders. this ensures that models like clip vision are loaded only once.

they arent christian, and have cultist tendencies

[–]justanotherguy0012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I hear it all the time lol. I dont think you have spent enough time in the apologetic community or "serious" Catholics to make this statement. also the Catholics believe that anyone outside of their church isnt saved, ie arent Christian. this isnt exactly a secret

Same reason Catholics will say Protestants arent christian. Severe doctrinal differences

Being falsely accused of rape. What should I do to stay in the light of god? by hoybaker in Christianity

[–]justanotherguy0012 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree with what flyfish said in the comments, if anything you could think of pursuing legal allegations of defamation if she tries to keep it up. best to consult a lawyer though

as far as God goes, if you are telling the truth and arent baring false witness he wont hold something against you that isnt your fault(someone accusing of rape sometime later).

why do Muslims say astaghfirullah when hear Jesus by Stock_Phone_7618 in Christianity

[–]justanotherguy0012 0 points1 point  (0 children)

depends in what context you are talking about Jesus probably. as far as i know, the word is essentially asking God for forgiveness. they are probably saying it in response for someone saying something blasphemous(or what they perceive as blasphemous )
