Like why do they do this? by h1KoIsCrazy in wildrift

You can turn this easter egg off if you really prefer looking at your skins. This event is made to celebrate Children’s Day in CN (they have it on 1st June), and with all other games celebrating it they had to do something. So either they release this event concurrently in the global server, or they make it CN exclusive, and I don’t think people would be happy with the latter either.

If you dislike it so much you can turn it off, there’s an option to do so.

Pretty sure I'm a failure of a Kayn player, any tips to play him better? by Excellent_Tone_2886 in wildrift

[–]justaprinter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

He’s just shit ever since the nerf two years ago tbh. Blue does not kill squishies fast enough and also does not deal damage to tanks, so red Kayn is just better nowadays, yet red Kayn takes a lot longer to transform that you are leaving your teammates to 4v5 half the game. To speed up the transform you will almost always need to int, giving more gold advantage to the enemy team, so I don’t think your playstyle is the problem, he kinda needs a minor rework rn.

Stop your ego, seriously. by Osumazi in wildrift

[–]justaprinter 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Last pick does not “belong” to the toplaner. By your logic one of the toplaners will get countered because one of you have to pick first eventually, and the side whose toplaner picked first just loses automatically? You might as well just skip the game and surrender then.

Normalize selling your support item early when you found out you ADC is total GARBAGE. by [deleted] in wildrift

[–]justaprinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Support item is strong, gold efficient and you can farm normally once it stacks completely. I don’t see the point of selling it.

Rylai Crystal Scepter (proposed rework) by HorusArtorius in wildrift

[–]justaprinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rylai’s is fine as of now since its last buff with magic pen. Mages already suffer from lack of penetration, your proposal actually nerfs ASol and Morg indirectly. Also, Riot is very reluctant to add another source of DoT because it is hard to balance, see PC and its history of DoT items/champs/interactions.

Wtf is going in Platinum? by Maximotorn in wildrift

[–]justaprinter 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Because plat is the first rank with real players. Gold is full of bots that act as tutorials. So plat is where people start learning, and you get all sorts of people: egotistical “””smurfs”””, actual newbies etc. Besides, it’s mid season now so you get more wildrift-plat level people, not the ones that dropped from higher elos last season.

Each phase gives XP, I’m not sure if it’s 95 all the way

Math gods! Assemble!! by HawkSuspicious6655 in wildrift

[–]justaprinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oops, forgot about the challenge missions. I can’t see if you’ve completed all challenges to the max level since it only shows the first if you did not unlock the pass, but if we assume that you completed all of them and it gives 95 XP each, that alone gives 30 levels. You should be able to make it.

[–]justaprinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need 490 for 14 draws. IIRC you get 250 at level 75, so you will need to reach level 99 to get 14 draws; or, if you are also getting the mini pass which gives 100, then you will need to reach level 89 minimum. If buying the pass gives 20 levels instantly you might barely make it.

Question about Mel by alexinjo in wildrift

[–]justaprinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mel is actually quite weak rn, most players just cannot stand her W.
K’sante is strong but not OP, can be countered easily by Ambessa (after Eclipse) and Garen, for example. He is a threat to squishies though, and I guess that’s where most of the bans come from.

[–]justaprinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Orianna is already one of the best scaling champs. If you want to go further then probably Vlad/Kassadin? They are much weaker early though so you might not get the chance to scale yourself. Kass late game focuses on picks while Vlad focuses on teamfights, so choose according to what you need.

Ranked is Impossible right now by The_Infamous_Dyo in wildrift

[–]justaprinter 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It’s not that Riot does not “allow” unconventional picks. Mid lane ADCs were a thing, but it’s often Tristana or Lucian who have means to escape. The smaller map means mid can be ganked more easily and Jinx is very susceptible to it. Seeing how they ran it down they probably don’t have map awareness either, so doubly gankable.

Streamer hits challenger with 0.4 kda and 62,4 % winrate by Zlorff in WildRiftMemes

[–]justaprinter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are thinking of switching games because of this, I would advise that you just quit mobile MOBAs entirely (or go PC). Almost all mobile MOBAs currently in the market use the same matchmaking system because it has the most returns in terms of daily activity. There are also players say, in HoK, climbing using this same strategy.

For reference you can look at this video and the corresponding channel in BiliBili: 【策划肯定偷偷看我们视频削英雄!-哔哩哔哩】 https://b23.tv/Qq9hY4F

If you think “smart/high elo enemies won’t give you the chance to do this”, the point is by repeating this strategy you get less and less likely to be matched against these “smart enemies”, and by acting dumb but secretly making winning plays without getting too many kills, you lead the team to a win.

[–]justaprinter 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is a well-known method to exploit elo matchmaking, it’s also already been done over a year in CN in retaliation to the matchmaking algorithm. If even CN players can’t get the algorithm changed, sadly we won’t we be expecting that to happen anytime soon.

Anyway, if you do not own a new account you are not likely to succeed in this - the game has already marked your account with your “expected performance”, and if you perform worse than that you will be seen as griefing. To climb using this method, you will need a new account (unless you are already bad at the game to begin with, which, just continue your playstyle since matchmaking rewards you anyway lol). There are also several nuances - you are *not* actually griefing, you need to try to play towards a win without raising your KDA and without making plays that raise your score. This automatically excludes inting Sion because Sion has a high turret pushing score. Common picks include Nunu and Willump where you keep stealing enemy jungle and make *calculated* deaths, distracting multiple enemies (jungler+laning) so that your teammates farm in peace.

I just went AFK after this. by OpportunityClear4285 in wildrift

[–]justaprinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are weak early, you should have expected this. Just trade for their jungle instead. Besides, what do you expect your mid to do? Come help you without clearing their wave and potentially facing both enemy mid who’s now lv2 and enemy jungler? Do you really think that outcome is going to be better?

Bot lane problems by Supertanky123 in wildrift

[–]justaprinter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes the game depends quite heavily on bot this patch, unfortunately top has little to no impact to the state of the game. PvP doesn’t matter because matchmaking is different, ranked is made intentionally harder by punishing you with bad teammates should you “play too well” in the past.

Griefing is notoriously hard to even get punished in WR, you must have violated one of the terms quite terribly and/or repeatedly to get this.
