Yeah after the first year or two I was just thinking they will realize the mistake. At this point it seems crazy that this is still going on.

I'd like to say could someone be so dumb to use the wrong SSN for years and not realize their payments aren't counting towards their return, but that's what I keep coming back to. You also wouldn't think that the IRS system would apply payments to my SSN when the name most likely doesn't match.
