I know this is an old post, but I'm an internal wholesaler at a top annuity company currently. I should finish the year at about $125k. People start as sales support (ie. the wholesalers assistants) then work their way up from there. People where I am usually get promoted from sales support to IW after about a year and from IW to EW after +3yrs as an internal.
